T&S..... sacked

I decided to have a look, looks like paul tisdale is out of work too. He would be a cracking appointment. Proven at this level.

 

It an “offer” that the club could make, it’s up to them to accept or not (and be jobless). They go back to their old job( if offered) on their existing money, be safe in employment whilst it runs down and if they do well , be offered another contract but not on the same money.

It’s either that or be the management duo for Skipton United on £25 quid a week plus expenses. They wouldn’t get a FL job . It’s their choice , but the club holds all the cards.

 

I believe Drury is still employed at Bradford City on the salary Rahic gave him and Collins, fortunately it runs out in June.

 

Personally I'll be surprised if they're willing to go back to the kids after having a taste of first team action. But I think that's best for their development and our youngsters.

Has this just escalated from an unsubstantiated rumour first thing this morning, or is there something documented somewhere that I've missed ?

To be fair to the tap, Sparks did say they were very close to appointing someone and he told T&S about it only to change his mind.

Totally agree, and there really isn't any remit for sacking T&S anyway.

What is Sparks going to say, I'm sorry guys, you did the job we asked pretty easily, but you kind of did it a bit too soon and I was disappointed with the way the season ended.

That would be like telling a lumberjack you desperately need 100 trees chopping, he goes out, chops the 100 in double quick time, then sorta cuts down an extra 50 a bit slower and then getting told 'sorry, I thought the extra 50 could have been more'. You can't sack someone for doing the job and then some extra, you can only sack them for failing to achieve surely.

It's a mess.

Well let’s put it this way. From what I hear, Hurst had agreed to join but it was City that dithered at the last minute, thus he joined Grimsby who put in a counter offer. Guess we’ll never know for sure.

Collins reverted to playing didnt he ? Signed for Alfreton Town in December 2018. Probably retired now though. Logic would say if he is also still on our pay roll as well then that runs out in June with Drury.

 

I agree, just sometimes you find people who don't take too well to being demoted.

 

Yes it’s been a foolproof strategy from the club for the last 4 years, that’s what you need in business and sport dithering with no leadership or know how.
