Oh dear Fordy you really are clueless, there are still possibly 8 teams including Newport fighting for the last play off place, we need to make sure we win our home games against Grimsby Town, Crawley Town, Tranmere Rovers, Salford City, and Scunthorpe United, of course there will be results that go for us and that is a bonus.

 

The RO’D love fest is a tad sickening. It’s ok to pick on outfield players but a keeper glued to his goal line at crosses is taboo? The opposition, who lets face it, are unlike us professionals , can see it , yet blind sycophants cannot?

I think that's unfair, their passing was OK at times! Had a couple of good passages of passing I thought but they didn't do it often enough.

I thought last Saturday we bypassed the midfield and that benefitted us because we didn't have to pass to each other. Taking today's game in isolation it was one of the worst 90 minutes of football I've seen from two teams in a long while. It may seem harsh but today's standard was what I would expect to see in national league North. I agree with you that the line up didn't help but I still expect players to be able to pass and control and today I saw very little of it. I'm just watching Stockport and Bromley and you can't tell the difference between these and today's game.

I sat and looked at our remaining fixtures before today’s match and thought we needed to aim as follows;
Stevenage = draw 1 pt
Grimsby = win 3 pt
Crawley = win 3 pt
Harrogate = win 3pt
Tranmere = draw 1 pt
Port Vale = draw 1 pt
Salford = win 3 pt
Morecambe = win 3 pt
= PLAYOFFs
Don’t care about other results, if we can achieve something which looks like the above we make the playoffs, with momentum on our side.
Next three games are massive, today was an ok result.
Onwards & upwards, looking forward to turning the house into a mini Wembley come May!!

 

I agree right down to Crawley, that's why we have to beat any of those team at home, we should be capable of getting results at Harrogate Town & Port Vale and if it comes down to winning our last game at Morecambe I would not bet against us, as I believe Morecambe will have already cemented themselves a play off place.

 

Yes two form teams cancelled themselves out a point was a good result from the fixture

 

Of course in terms of the play off place we could have done with a win which shows we don’t have the points in the bag from earlier in the season which allows us a bit of give when playing athe division form team
