We had gone six matches without a win and you couldn’t see where the next point was coming from. The turn around has been excellent whether we get there or not

Its time all this , we should beat this lot if we want promotion ,rubbish stopped. We have no divine right to win games , just because we are Bradford city. No doubt about it Stevenage will be a tough nut to crack and they will be favorites being at home. Most of the teams are very similar in the division, and anyone can beat anyone on the day.
Where ever we finish , is a bloody good achievement , compared to where it looked like we might finish before Christmas.

We were not ever going down.

The turn around has been excellent for a few clubs in this division.

We made it clear we would be making signings in Jan that would have helped us pull away which we did. I think it was right to get rid of McCall but I do think on the other hand he has a point with things he said in his interview about the situation with us.

We're Bradford City, not Bradford. Annoys me a bit that does

Exactly, a bit like that team over the hills, what do they call them? Ah that's it Manchester.

    Couldn't care less!

I'm not 60. If you care are Park Ave then boy your standards have slipped.

Bradford! Bradford City! Call it what you like. I just care about us improving and moving up these bloody football leagues.

Bradford City are in 11th. Happy now?

Yes yes Fordy, thanks I forgive you for your rare error. It's Bradford City that are doomed as you keep reminding us

We’re doomed if we are worried about bloody Park Avenue. Damn!

What’s going to happen first? Us catching Leeds or Park Ave overtaking us?

Doomed!! We don’t even own anything! Doomed!!

Whatever happens with the Carlisle result it's going to be an exciting end to the season , rather than the end of us in the league (like some predicted). If we go on another winning streak there are teams above who are now faltering , those with recent form (like Orient / Stevenage) we can match and more. The only way is up for Bantam progressivism.

Jon Butterfield is right. This'll be a tough tough game. I'd be happy for us to take any result from this. Hoping for a win, but would be ok with a draw. Good management team, neat footballers - and some bloody big ones!

You're right - a big match. A big result for us puts City well into the fray. If we lose? Still eight games to go, and as you keep reminding us this is a shit league. So more twists and turns to come methinks.

I'm guessing the reason Gibson doesn't figure for Stevenage at the moment might have something to do with the fact he doesn't play for them.

I am 60 (64 in May) and I do care. My team is Bradford City, Bradford are Park Avenue.
They are of no relevance to us but being a Bradfordian (as in the song) I respect their identity just as much as I do ours, partly because Park Avenue was where it started for me in 1962, I was a Stan!
For me at Valley Parade it started in the early 70s. And Bradford City are now 11th and NO I'm not happy I want and expect more from this club.

Suppose I may be the first to ask this, but how are you 60, but 64 n May? Just interested.

Nobody else below 50 has ever heard of Park Avenue so Bradford is the term the majority use, including the media so you'll probably just have to get used to it.

I meant that I had hit 60 and so I understand the relevance to older City and Avenue supporters of the Bradford and Bradford City thing.

I like this post. Whilst the season has not gone entirely to plan, it's great to know we potentially have, an exciting end to the season and just speaking for myself, but after lockdown 3 and a near 13 long (and some lonely) weeks, it's nice to have some positivity.

Gotta say the renaissance at City (certainly in terms of results) has helped me through these long days and going into Monday, I genuinely can't wait.

Can we go on a winning streak again? Time will tell but I'm glad we have something to aim for.

Me too. With all the restrictions blighting our lives, watching City on ifollow in the first half of the season was very depressing but since January I now look forward to each game and I know it has certainly improved my state of mind.
