Great result yesterday, we were not at our best, but got the tatics spot on , with the high press, which forced them to change and go a bit longer. As for mr Cooper the lesss said the better.

I don't think anybody ever said he was the answer when asked to play out of position but I think he has done a better job than some people think. T&S seem to have confidence in him, some of the the things he is criticised for you say the same of regular midfield players.

I didnt realise just how poor he was both as a lower league player and a lower league manager.

As someone who is closely connected with the club you’d hope Roger would be a bit more positive for a change, although it is true to form. 5 years to get over Rahic even though we got £3mil for McBurnie, need 53 points just to survive. I’m sure he’s a very decent guy but at times on here he makes Julian Rhodes look positive.

We are 3 points of the playoffs with 9 games left, in a poor league and we’re the second biggest club in the league. We should be acting like it and attacking the last 9 games with everything we’ve got to get out of this shitshow of a league. I’d hope those connected with the club wouldn’t be already resigning themselves to another season at this level.

 

I think it's refreshing that hes found his bottle to give an honest view.

That's a bit harsh mate why should being closely connected to the club not allow him to give a honest opinion.
He's a fan just like us, I'm sure if he gave a positive spin on all things Bradford City a few on here would accuse him of towing the party line.

 

Someone mentioned darker arts, and that parts true. But I thought that FGR looked decent too. Worked the ball well and at times they penned us back in our half for prolonged spells. I can see why they're top 7.

Also, re. Darker arts, I think its something we need a bit more of ourselves. Not in terms of throwing ourselves to the ground, but we seem passive at times. Especially at home, we need to be putting more pressure on officials - within reasonable bounds. Its part of the game.

 

Every season is massive, and I’d hope those connected would have faith to achieve something here and now not kicking goals to next season. We should have been looking to get promoted last season nevermind think of next. We’re 3 points of the playoffs with 9 games left, even though performances have been poor in the main anything less than going for promotion at this stage is poor imo.

 

We should see every season we spend in this league as an embarrassment.

 

There’s an honest opinion, but if I am a business owner or high up in a business I want my customers to have confidence in me and my colleagues to achieve goals set out. Our goal since relegation should have been to get back to league 1 ASAP, sorry to say I can’t agree it’s harsh, but I suppose it maybe the culture I work in. We don’t give up on our aims even if they’re far more unlikely than that at Bradford City, it’s 3 points in 9 games we need to make up. Everyone at the club should have confidence in themselves to get it done, not be talking about another season at this level.

I thought it was the best we'd played for some time, far better than the performance against Colchester. Going direct with 2 up top isn't something I would have thought would work but it's made us look far more likely to score. FGR looked better with the ball but in truth created little with it, something we've been guilty of this season. Cook now a permanent starter till the end of the season alongside Donaldson also seems to bring more of a goal threat than what we had before, I was an advocate of 4-2-3-1 but without Cooke it simply didn't work. Dropping the ineffectual widemen has also been another good mamagement decision.

To be fair Fordy also said that we won't go down and he got that right and I should imagine that he would be more than happy to eat "humble pie" come the end of the season. Always prepared to put his neck on the block (but not money where his mouth is...ALLEGEDLY!), perhaps we should call him Monsieur Fordy.

 

100% spot on. Just because someone is connected with the club doesn't mean they can't have an option bad or good.
