Think it was posted on here that it's doubtful under the terms of the loan deal that Leeds have much say in that.

Radio Leeds stated he was sat near them on Saturday and was still out injured, clubs can’t just stop their loan players playing somewhere unless they recall them.

Need to clarify what hosannah situation is then if poss get BRE out the door and bring in another CB. Cover in centre mid we have lots of number 10 creative types but no ball winners (maybe sutton). Then if were gonna keep the 4-2-3-1 we need pace either side of Novak. If were being greedy another striker and get Guthrie out?

Striker, Winger, Centre back cover, wise head in central midfield.
All need to be as good or, preferably, better than what we've got. No point recruiting more bench fillers.

Winger is the number one priority as it stands, right now.

BRE out, CB in can wait, unless there's an injury to AOC or POC.

Striker, well we're only playing one at the minute, so I'd suggest offloading Guthrie is a priority, and that won't be easy. He hasn't scored for a year, I think? Donaldson, no chance of offloading him IMO. A good loan forward would probably see us through for the season, but a lot depends on Novak's fitness. If he gets injured, we're back to square one.

Central midfield needs reinforcing with an extra body, no outgoings.

Agree with most of that, but think whoever we recruit need to definitely be better than what we've got. As good as BRE or DMH then we shouldn't bother

I'm in agreement but some people still want AOC out of club ASAP. For me in January it's a quality striker, at least one winger, a right back and a central midfielder to play alongside Watt. A central defender if we can move BRE on. If the new permanent manager doesn't want AOC he or she won't renew his contract in the summer, or he may decide to move on himself.

If we could shift AOC I'd piggy back him there myself. He's the very definition of the type of player I mentioned earlier when accusing them of hiding when the going got tough.

He's got good ability, I just think he lacks desire.

Still need 4-6 players for me. We need wingers and we need quality in depth, ideally 2/3 leaders will come in alongside some pace. Can’t get complacent because we’ve strung a couple of performances together!

Absolutely agree. What has happened in the last three matches sum up AOC perfectly, when we are going well he has the desire but his is the first head that goes when we aren't. Could you imagine Gary Jones giving up on such a run ? As the most experienced player in the backline he needs to be the leader and he's not. I'd like a great big mobile CH who sticks his head on everything in both boxes. Someone like Joe Cooke was at his peak.

I'd take Steve baines back in a breath no nonsense centre half and chipped in with a few goals

I happen to disagree with you but you are entitled to your opinion, I am not going to fall out with you over it because different opinions is what makes this forum so good.

Remember him being a decent referee as well. Would love to have seen Paolo di Canio try to push him over.

At least one winger, a striker, a defensive midfielder, centre back and depending on the right back situation, a RB too.

Nothing has changed in terms of whats needed.

Did you know his final Football League game (as a referee) was at Valley Parade?

I know I was tiny but I always thought Joe Cooke was built like a brick outhouse. Don't remember him ever getting pushed around. Could throw it a mile too.

I remember a match at Crewe. City had a free kick, attacking the Gresty Road end. Joe Cooke was around the edge of the box, with a defender either side of him. Before the kick was taken the defenders barged him from either side and 'sandwiched' him. Joe just turned to one of the defenders, nutted him and trotted off the pitch, not even waiting for the referee to send him off.

He certainly wouldn't have gone down in stages like that ref. That was comedy gold
