Not sure about Baldwin, but the Jenkins rumour were wide of the mark, a definite non runner

I don't believe anyone is lined up.
Being CEO of our club isn't a major prize.
Why would anyone with CEO experience hang around this long?
Nothing adds up,very amateurish and almost laughable from Rhodes statement and Rupps deafening silence on the subject.
More chance of a successful Covid vaccine been announced.

Sparks was very much playing the visiting Chairman/CEO rule at Tonbridge on Saturday. Anyone expecting a Baldwin or Jenkins level of appointment should prepare themselves to be disappointed.

Wasn't the statement that a CEO had been identified? No mention of being approached and accepted the role. Is Rhodes still negotiating or still looking to appoint somebody?

    It's a clear as mud.

Identified is the key word just like we identified Premiership second string strikers for a loan move didn't happen !!
There is no reason Mr Jenkins couldn't take over tomorrow he is after all far more qualified then Mr Rhodes at driving a club forward so he seems very doubtful
Mr Baldwin I understand is working out notice at the FA till April/ May still no reason not to announce the appointment give the fans something to look forward to again doubtful
So that just leaves Mr Sparks which fits in with Mr Rupp saying Mr Rhodes can't leave just yet or are we still scouring employment agencies for anyone willing to become our new CEO or the next student to leave college with a degree for "turning up"
As you say "Clear as mud" small wonder we have spent the last few years going backwards and fans are feeling disconnected
Come on City !!!! get this new CEO in place and kick start recovery nothing will change till they do

Not sure why a few assume it will be Sparks. Just because it might not be Baldwin and Jenkins, what's to say we have not identified someone else with no links to the club.

My view is it will be someone nobody has mentioned yet

On Baldwin, as part of him leaving EFL as CEO will there not be some strings attached? Surely he can’t walk straight into an EFL club as CEO? Seems some sort of conflict of interest there

But who is going to work the magic? Stephan has to have the desire and vision to work with a CEO who is a proven catalyst for change. They need to have the same mutual aims for the Club. No disrespect to Julian, but we won't really go forward with a clone. If our owner really wants to front up and pump up at least a credible appointment will signal intent to us fans.

And IMO the two rumoured to be the next possible CEOs would fit the bill perfectly I would hope if it were either of those two the job would be the first step in getting new investors into the club, or would Rupp be prepared to go along with a CEO with a vision to take the club forward.

It might not be a major prize, but people in senior positions often have long notice periods or a non compete clause after leaving. That or he’s mentoring an internal applicant.

No disrespect to Mr Sparks but he would be nothing more than a clone of our present CEO
We need fresh blood someone with drive and ambition to drag this club up by the bootlaces
I do feel however you are correct who else would consider joining us to be told "oh hang on a bit" unlike Mr Rhodes you are not capable of overseeing us through this pandemic

This article is a real breath of fresh air for me on how its possible to run a modern club.

‘Pale, male and stale’:grinning: sound familiar?

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54911260

would you welcome more women in prominent roles at the club? Even as a CEO.

Interesting that Greg Clarke's comments are considered 'unacceptable' but this article can openly use terms like 'pale, male and stale'. Nothing worse than the white man. Its possible to discuss the merits of diversity without summarily criticizing a demographic on the basic of sex and colour. It seems equality doesn't cut all ways.

Is there a place for more women in positions of leadership and power within football? Absolutely there is. I think we're crying out for a completely fresh look at how to run our football club. I don't care what sex or colour that person is, as long as they have the credentials, skills, and relevant experience to deserve the position. But it has to be on the basis of equal opportunity, not an engineered equality of outcome.
