What about Abbott’s contract ?

 

Why are people so desperate to get someone in now? We complained last year that there were no early signings, we've already signed two. Pre-season is still miles away. It's clear that the new man will have to work with the players he's given rather than who he wants (like it or not) so I'd rather they spent 6 weeks looking for someone who wants to work under that setup than someone who takes it half-heartedly and is sacked by January. May not be what we're used to but it's the way they're doing it. No major rush as far as I can see in first week of June.

 

There are many supporters who thought Hecky would get the job me included.
I have posted on here the name of Ben Garner who I also believed was in the so called frame and betting.
It appears I have believed a trusted contact and both have come to nothing.
But in his defence he doesn't interview the candidates.

Regarding my post earlier about meetings today yes there was some and there will be some tomorrow as I stated however seems there could be a slight delay to actually naming the new head coach

9 weeks until season starts, less than 4 weeks until pre season, players brought in no disrespect to them but who is to say the head coach will pick them in match day squad. Yes it's getting to the time where desperate seems to be the key word. Are all the ones spoken to may have turned it down because they don't like the model in place if that's not the case you would think the vacancy would have been filled by now.

Now you can interpret that as you want it suggests to me Edin told him he wanted involvement into the selection of players, not as it been previously been where the only time Mark & Julian got involved was the financial side.
Edin openly said he could not wait to bounce football matters off Phi Parkinson, the man wanted input into and future player signing dress it up as you want.

 

Won't happen.. Rahic hasn't got the resources and Rupp has no real interest apart from a ROI.

 

I would say Barnsley - who have a very similar structure to us - are currently taking just as long. In fact they have been searching for a couple of days more and thèy have a billionaire owner!

based on Wagner's and Klopp's relatively successful seasons I guess.
Can't bank on finding a gem anywhere though.. it's a gamble..
