Welcome back Mr Park, nothings changed were still a crap team with a crap manager, although still unbeaten and a team who could have been sitting at the top of the league with 9 points.

Welcome back Park and as annoying as your constant positivity can get, I've missed it (a bit).

The word that encapsulates for me is "fragile".

Yes,3 points, great but I fear we are lacking that
extra quality that can help rebound from a defeat
rather than have us spiral down the league through
lack of belief and maybe managerial knowhow.

The clock is ticking for Guthrie and the alarm
is about to go off. He's on borrowed time and
has to start scoring and or assiting with goals
because we are in no position to carry passengers
who don't contribute.I hope he comes good but
he needs to start doing it now!

I was one of the fans who, rightly or wrongly, wrote him off after just a couple of games in February.

Despite McCall praising him for his pre season work, he has started this season as he did when he first signed. Even McCall was struggling to defend him when asked in post match interview about him, McCall merely saying that he works hard. Maybe he does, but to me he simply doesn't look anywhere near good enough for us and I would question whether he is good enough for league 2 full stop.

I agree. He's not showing any quality.
Running around and doing little is not
enough. As you say,his level may be
    somewhere below national league.
Message to him is "prove us wrong" !

How was the naughty step this time of year? Good to see you back and hopefully the rose tinted goggles have been given a good clean whilst you were away :geek: as many have agreed French, Sutton, Watt and Clarke were good yesterday, an encouraging cameo from Evans and 2 more goals for Novak - sadly the form of Guthrie continues to be non existent and for me Cooke needs to raise his level a notch. But well done to the lads and particularly as we had a patched up defence yesterday, lets hope we can now continue to raise our standards, as SMc says there is more to come

He doesn't even run around. Twice in the second half, he gave up a ball that should have been chased.

I wonder if we could play Evans up front alongside Novak? Not sure what he’s got left in the tank but I seem to remember when we had him before that he used to be a good runner. I think that’s what we need up front with Novak, someone to stretch the defence and run in behind/run the channels.

Good shout-Evans did more in his few minutes on the pitch than Guthrie did all game. Hit the post and was a general nuisance.

Trying to locate Stuarts after match chat with Radio Leeds but can I find it on their site? I am sure they upload it fairly quickly.

    Anyone have a link? TVM.

better from City yesterday but still not overly convinced by the way the team is set up or by the quality within the squad to have a good promotion challenge. we're still significantly short in certain areas.

for everything that Reece Staunton is good at at this stage of his career and age, his use of the ball really needs to improve if he is wanting to go further in the game - this will come with experience and age but it's also up to other around him to show for the ball.

I thought, considering there wasn't a vocal player across the four, the defence did OK but they weren't placed under too much pressure. Cooke looks lost on the left of a midfield diamond. can see him struggling to get in the XI if we continue to play that way - he may benefit from a change of Sutton and Watt behind a three of Clarke, Cooke and Evans supporting Novak.

started brightly but lost control a bit. a classic example of why you need to take your chances when on top - against better teams and we struggle to get back in to that game.

a welcome three points but we get punished against better sides. 6 and 7s across the board, maybe a 7.5 for a couple of players.
