Fans Back At VP - A Plan

Maybe this is fundamentally why we've done such a limited job of strengthening. Limit cost, keep the squad to a an assumed standard that means we don't go down, and then replan when Covid is under more control.

Better to be safe than sorry.... no point having a stadium that holds 25,000, 50,000 or 100,000 if you have no one to fill it because everyone's dead!!

We've been in lockdown in Victoria for two months with a 8.00pm curfew and only allowed out for 1 hours exercise plus food shopping. Thank goodness we've gone from 750 a day new cases to 28 as of today.

Very frustrating and painful but put into prospective no sport or anything else comes before people's lives.

 

I was just gonna post that. I think we are now gonna ride out this season. One relegation place up for grabs, possibly none as the conference still not started yet and they are unsure if they can afford to.
I don’t think we would finish dead last so ride it out unless we get a pile of injuries and see where we are next June/July?

It wouldn’t surprise me if that were the case for a number of clubs at this level tbh, other than a few like Salford who are going for it and will most likely be rewarded with promotion, most who aren’t as confident or just don’t have the same backing will most likely be in survival mode not just on the pitch but as a business as well.

It will French Open starts at the weekend and fans will be there.

Boris was never interested in getting fans in to grounds this year.

Right decision in my opinion. Imagine up to 5,000 city fans descending into Bradford from all over, every other week into a Covid hotspot area? Nah not for me pal.

I agree though. I'm not saying I agree, I just think its a likely factor in our approach. We're not ambitious at the best of times, let alone in the current climate.

 

Fans were thronging the route at the recent Tour De France,and Macron was amongst them.

 

When I’ve done cup matches with roughly 5,000 and park on Canal Road I honestly barely see a soul on the way and leaving the ground. The scare mongering has really got to some people hasn’t it, the news outlets have a lot to account for along with the totally inept government. There’s been flus a hell of a lot worse than Covid in recent years and we all still went along to VP in our numbers. Infuriating reading some of the posts on here. Sure I’ll come in for some stick with this post but I can’t do with this bedwetter mentality anymore.

 

5000 to 7000 be fine I would have thought. No away fans so even more spread and no segregation needed

The ST refund $hit storm fallout is going to be epic though on a brighter note....

 

6 months of this shite now, fecking sick of it now. I follow the advice given as much as i can but you could bring the best advice out there and a large section of the public are too thick to even understand it.
