Park, any striker is a gamble and there are no guarantees. Your mate Maynard did not want to come to us so all we would have been left with is another McLean, Doyle, Vaughan etc situation. Its not just about goals, we need another striker who can offer something different to the ones we have got - that would give the rest of the team a different option as well (but do agree scoring goals would be one of differences )

In fairness to park, the Donaldson and Vaughan was reaping dividends to the point of Morecambe. Whilst the football wasn't the greatest, we was challenging at the business end of the table.

We will never know what would have been had that very same partnership continued...

But Donaldson is now 10 months older. He did look awfully unfit at Town and agree with you Steve, that he has seen better days. It's too many years since CD scored the relevant goals needed, which we had in Vaughan. Whilst CD, has his assets, we need a goalscorer.

Now.. When the season starts from September 2020. Clayton is not this answer.

 

Ppl seem to have forgot the horrendous donaldson missed chances last season....does not have goals in him anymore
