Comments like that do absolutely nothing to further the debate. It's needless, inflammatory media hyperbole.

Where is the evidence that there is a genetic element? Has the gene been identified, has the interaction of this gene with other genes been understood along with environmental factors and that of chance?

I know you use the word MAY, however suggesting that a particular group of people may have a particular gene to influence their behaviour (based upon their race) is a very slippery slope. This is very different to the fact that certain genes have been isolated as the cause of certain illnesses, for example the sickle cell gene.

Why because I don't subscribe to the 'Everything is racism' extremism like you? If anything you are the one who is racist wanting to pin the blame solely onto white cops even though MOST OF THE COP KILLINGS OF BLACK PEOPLE HAPPEN AT THE HAND OF BLACK COPS. Why are black people twice as likely as hispanics to be killed by cops. Why are Asians and Arabs even less likely to be killed by cops than White people. These things blow the idea its racism out of the window as racists don't make exceptions. Why can people like you not get that. You can't solve a problem when all you want to do is be a sad little SJW ignoring the bigger factors because Racism is your nice little buzz word. Now kindly p off with throwing the racism card at me just because my brain actually works and I can look at a bigger picture and comprehend statistics while yours refuses to move out of your echo chamber.

My opinion has nothing to do with race. It would be the same opinion if I was black or if it was white people being killed in greater numbers by cops. I wouldn't be trying to boil things down to a single simplistic and false point, I would be looking at the wider picture because nothing is ever as simple as one factor. And we can never just blame others, there is always an element of our own making that only we can deal with. A successful white person telling them the benefits of focusing on education and staying away from gang life will fall on deaf ears as they don't relate to them and without them feeling they have a way out no matter what is done death by cop will always be excessively high because some of the core issues are not being dealt with (As shown by the fact again that Black Cops kill most of the Black people who are killed by cops. White cops killing black people is in at the minoirty so racism clearly isn't the main factor)

There is a difference between eugenics and a discussion of there being genetical deferences between us through our DNA heritage. We are all a complex product of our heritage, we have traits that are an asset and we have traits that can be a hindrance. If you are a white women you are more pre-disposed to get cancer than a black women (but its reversed in males), only a sub section of the people with black heritage get sickle cell(usually black or mixed themselves but there are a few cases of people who identify as white having it). We see evidence with COVID that it can be worse for Black people. The more closed a community is the more traits both the positive and negative ones are likely to be strengthened, its why European Royalty has such a history with haemophilia as they would marry within themselves. Its only as they have opened up that its become less of a problem as they increase the gene pool.

There have been plenty of studies on addiction that there is seems to be genetic element to addiction. They haven't been able to identify a specific gene but what they do know is that genes impact peoples temperment and temperament can be a factor in addiction. As can the way genes govern the way each of us deal with things like stress. Genes also dictate how certain proteins are produced, proteins that can change how substances are broken down and the impact it has on us.

And for the record at no-point have I said its a Native American only thing. But as the way Genetics work the more closed the 'breeding pool' is the more both good and bad elements of our genetics can be. Native American culture can be fairly closed, traditionally mixed race relationships have been frowned upon by the community so if there is a genetic element to addition there is a greater chance of it being stronger in a more closed community and it becoming weaker over time the more open a community gets. I would also add that if you read the whole thing I didn't just say it was genetic, infact while I said may on the gene factor I was more definitive on the lack of opportunity and the learned behaviour elements.

Why should I show that jumped up any respect. He goes out of his way to call me a racist just because he wants to seem like he is woke and better than anyone else. He what is wrong when any discussion on ‘discrimination' goes on.

If I just sat here and replied to every post you make calling you a racists Let’s see how long you last before you respond like that. Trying to dismiss my valid and researched opinion by labelling me racist is just as under hand as you can get. Also Notice I replied with civility to everyone else (and even the reply to him is a million times calmer than my first version).

    And the insults continue.
To be fair you make some good points but once you start to dish out the “thick little skulls” line I stopped reading. And I would do that every time. It offers nothing. But all the best to you

According to Wikipedia and again, agnostic of race and for the countries where the data is available, the only countries worldwide with a lower rate of deaths caused by the police and law enforcement as a percentage of the population are:

    Japan
    Denmark
    Iceland
    Sweden

There are 56 countries with higher rates of death. In comparison with the USA, relative to population size, you're over 100x less likely to be killed by the police in the UK than the US.

Did you call out his insult of me, no you didn’t you like his post. So stop acting like you are reasonable. You are supporting someone who is using the extremist SJW's number 1 tactic and that’s shout 'ism' at people hoping to shut down discussion of that don't align with fake outrage

Nowadays the science has advanced to such a point that, I expect, that if there is a genetic element it will, sooner or later, be identified. In the past, one could draw conclusions from observations of behaviour -- now whether those were the correct conclusions to draw is another question. However, over here it was observed that alcohol and Indians tended not to be a good combination.

This notion is confirmed by at least some of their own leaders, who have declared their reservations to be "dry." It was also noted by at least some governments. Here in Ontario, certainly in the 60s and I think into the early 70s, alcohol sales were very tightly controlled -- think going into the government-run liquor store and filling out a form detailing what you wanted, giving that to a clerk, and waiting whilst they headed off to the stores to get your bottles. You also, on this form, had to confirm specifically that you were not an Indian.

Now I expect some people lied on those forms, and I agree that that sort of government control may well be going too far. But the underlying point remains, that it was known that a certain group of people were particularly susceptible to a certain type of substance. Having made that observation, then, what do you do about it?

Rightly or wrongly, that was one attempt at a solution. The problem remains a big one to this day.

A good summing up, he does make some very valid points worthy of discussion, unfortunately its racism which people seem incapable of debating without wetting their knickers. That said, he does get over excited MAKING LOUD NOISES WITH CAPITAL. LETTERS. Shame, the points have relevance.
