    I don’t agree with the protests but were the protests in America initially started because the police officer did not get charged with Floyds murder? Not that there’s an excuse now but...
    Bit different to lee rigby killers who were taken into custody immediately

    Cummings deserved the stick he's getting but let's not be silly and lay the blame of all the worlds ills at his door. That would be stupid and childish. The fact this demonstration went ahead when all involved know full well the implications of social distancing is pretty sad despite the reasons behind it.

    And why should he have been charged at that point? We may think it’s barbaric here in the U.K but as I mentioned it’s a standard and approved method to restrain people because the US is different so cops can’t afford to have their hands occupied. Until they had all evidence collected and reviewed to determine excessive why would they charge him? The first stage of the protest started before the autopsy had been done and the body cam footage had been started to be reviewed. And as it involved it own officers they were also waiting for the FBI. It was bad enough they fired them all before the evidence could be collected and reviewed but charging them that early would have been ridiculous

    They have upped the charge to 2nd degree murder , they are looking to charge the other 3 with culpable homicide , by all accounts the autopsy 1st draft points to ( unconfirmed as yet ) that Mr Floyd was well overdosed on drugs , this is going to drag on .

    Charged suspended whatever you get the point. Without the protests they believed nothing would have changed and the officer would have got away with it.
