Unlike our Chairman or owner. Below is a link from the Crystal Palace Chairman to his fans.

It highlights why it's vital the PL restarts and how like I have been saying if it doesn't that next season isn't happening for all football if it doesn't.

    https://www.cpfc.co.uk/news/2020/may/chairman-steve-parish-premier-league-project-restart--crystal-palace/

Wish our Chairman and owner would step up now and stop acting like cowards. Defend the club! Make it known to fans what they want and why. Don't dare ask for the begging bowl if you're not going to commmicate with fans. If think we should say we want the season to continue when it's safe when ever possible. I do believe we would finish in the play offs!

No better season to go up this! None!

FFS, the PL world has gone mad! If that suggestion has any credence, it illustrates everything which is wrong at the top level of English football.

How the hell are they going to get to Australia ? Players - staff officials - media etc , it would be akin to the Arnhem airdrop logistics wise . The PL / Sky are sounding really stupid now .

What I'd like to hope is that a couple of plane loads of players, PL officials, club hangers-on, owners etc jet off to Australia for a couple of games. And then on returning to the UK they are all placed in quarantine, preferably in an asylum centre for the next month! :)

I just think at times like this you need to be hearing from the CEO or owner and outlining what their stance is. At least seem to be fighting their corner.

For me I would be highlighting to fans that we believed as a club we could get into the play offs and we want the season to finish failing that we back the points per average finish for the season(that would put us in the play offs I believe) and we would like the play offs to start when football can be played. Make it clear you back the club and not going into these meetings to get bullied by Garry Neville and his agenda.

No that's a Garry Neville suggestion.

Sky are the problem not football

I think at the moment the PL, EFL and football in general in this country is aware that there is a vast potential undercurrent amongst the population in general against any resumption in playing if this would mean using thousands of testing kits, take medical staff away from hospitals etc. Surveys at the moment show a majority of feeling amongst the general public against relaxing the lockdown too soon. To start playing football matches would go against this public opinion.

The latest poll suggests 80% were actually worried about a return to work / school etc , i think most people are concerned about health - jobs etc than a game of Football to be fair .

Sky and some of the other major sponsors are certainly part of the issue but not its entirety. I'd start looking at the owners at some of the major clubs who want every last penny available to them from the game. We only have to look at the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool who were quick to furlough many of their non-playing staff to get their hands on the Govt's subsidies only to change their minds when public opinion moved against them. It's the greed and the preoccupation with money within the top levels of English football from the likes of the Glazier's, the Henry's, the Levy's, the Mansoor's of the footballing world etc which is the issue; not simply the source of the money.

    Don't forget Newcastle.

or add West Ham(quick to take the tax payers stadium).

Yeah, PL clubs are greedy but no different to airlines who are now begging but quick to make money from mark ups, cancellations and charging under 15's a ridiculous amount to fly.

Apple charging high amounts for their phones.

I don't mind the PL, it's the rainbow and you have to aim for It but problem is the leaders,The PL and EFL need to be strong and just say they will be teams going up and down, we will decide how! Then stick too it.

What we getting now is agenda's.

As for the Furlough in for PL clubs, yes I disagree now but if football doesn't restart the financial loses for the PL and EFL are huge. The Palace chairman has said all clubs will suffer if no restart.

So much common sense in this post, football's well down the list of many peoples priorities even on a football forum.

The heart as been ripped out of English football , its now seen as a cash cow by most PL owners .Sky were at 1st a force for good in the game , the problem arised because of the money available to PL clubs , because of the arrival of world class footballers here the demand to watch live games all over the world led to a major change in how football developed . Because of the the different time zones across the globel market stopped the traditional Saturday 3 pm KO times . This led to a lot of the mainstream fans unable to attend fixtures , means midweek travel to different ends of the country . From what i gather clubs dont rely on crowd numbers , this is because SKY plow that much money in , £ 50 m for relegated teams from the PL i believe , this then spreads down to the championship given an unfair advantage , if this pandemic continues into next season SKY will begin to panic . I wonder how much revenue they've lost with people dropping the sport channels . I forecast a radical change in English football , SKY will be losing revenue not just through subscrition but more importently world wide advertising contracts , BT - Virgin etc will be unable to fill any shortfall , i predict Sky will be offering a great deal less in the future to the PL .

The lockdown needs to end no matter what now. It's starting to go the other way in which people are scared to leave their house.

It's rubbish what you say about the testing at football as Hancock has said all NHS and key workers can get testing now. So football paying for testing isn't a problem.

I want football back on my screens. I like the emotion and the drive it gives me. I don't want businesses to struggle and football is a business.

However, people's jobs, health and the direction of the economy is more pressing.

Football back on tv would be good for people's mental state to take their minds of the grim world we currently live in.
