People are pretty clueless, even if they mean well.

If I was dodgy, I’d be doing whatever I need to do around about 8 o’clock on a Thursday night.

 

They need to have a word with their PR people, they're losing the goodwill of the 'stay at homes'. This clapping and cheering, and the emergency services filming themselves dancing at work, was well recieved. As usual it then turns into a virtue signalling exercise seeing who can outdo each other for the most likes, 'We can fill a pretty bridge in London with lights and people, lets see ya beat that Manchester.'

I understand the police have a very difficult job, even more so at the moment. But they aren't always helping themselves.

Watching the clip ijn the tweets, sometimes their job is impossible. Moving people on for not following advice then baited by a 'journalist' who 'just happened to be out on a walk.' More like out looking for a non story which he will now throw on social media for likes and retweets. This idea that journalist are essential keyworkers grates with me. My bin man is more of key worker than these attention seekers. I actually admire the police officer when he basically tells the journalist to eff off, a shame they can't be more proactive like that when it comes to dealing with scumbags who blight peoples everyday life. Well, unless you're a football fan i suppose.

See China are adjusting its death figures in Wuhan, no surprise there trying to be every bodies best friend sending PPE out to many countries.

 

I don't get some of the comments with regards people showing their gratitude, nobody makes you go out and show your appreciation for our NHS and others who are doing a great job under almost impossibly conditions if you dont like it turn the TV radio off, you know it's going to happen every Thursday.

 

Clapping on your doorstop did/does the job but don't you think groups are just out now to outdo each other, the introduction of setting off fireworks undermines the original sentiment to me anyway..
