Not at all @wetherbywhaler I just think that in these difficult times for football and indeed the economy in general ,rather than throw abuse at Rupp as some on here do, we badly need him with his resources to clear up Rahics mess. Though I agree he was negligent in not paying enough attention to Rahics disaster. Talking to people at the club they have no doubt he is doing more than his bit to fund the club.

You sum it up very well in all aspects there and no one person knows what you have said better than Stefan himself in terms of the Rahic disaster which is why, through Stefan's actions, we are still in business, bruised as we may be.

 

I've to admit I am starting to feel a little sorry for him. First Rahic and not this deadful virus.

However, i do question his motives for getting involved with Rahic and buying the club. Due to his lack of interest in the game I can only think it was to generate money for himself.

Now, I only hope that IF and it's a big IF at the moment that a buyer comes along that really wants to take the club forward because let's get it right no business really wants to stand still or go backwards that he lets the club go at loss and steps aside.

My disappointment is that loads can be done with Bradford City and it seems that be it Rhodes or Rupp they just tick the club along then we wonder why we are being overtaken by the likes of Luton and we find ourselves in Div 2 making bad decisions like hiring Bowyer who was never right for this football club.

I also question why we haven't got a Sporting Director in these times when we replace managers often and end up left with players that just don't fit the club also. I question why on and off Bradford City has no football identity.

As a football club we are failing! Under achieving massively!

Melbourne I can assure you that I am fully aware of what's happening and delusion is not one of my traits. But as I had not come on for a while due to other stuff I thought I would make a post.

So is Rupp putting money in or not? I seem to be reading conflicting angles.

 

Here’s the situation as I understand it and you can correct me if you think I’m wrong. Rupp falls asleep at the wheel, and allows his business partner to go on a mass spending spree resulting in a £1.8M loss. He temporarily injects cash into the club to stop his complacently from folding us over (whooop whoop! He’s investing in us!) and is by accounts using the Mcburnie money to sort out the rest of his self inflicted mess. What have I missed?

Technically, I guess you’re right, he probably did inject his own money into the club whilst we needed the cash flow to keep us ticking over. Here’s why no one cares.

1. This is Rupp’s fault you begin with. If I drive at 80mph on a 30, crash into some else’s car and then pay for the damage am I a man of moral integrity or should I not have been a tit in the first place?
   
   
2. Any investment he might have made he’s ultimately undone by depleting our last major asset. £3M should be used to fund a promotion push into the Championship, not bail out a man with 10’s of millions in the bank.

It’s embarrassing how even now some are prepared to defend him to the hilt. In case it’s escaped you, we’ve gone backwards under his ownership. Bring us success, actually invest in the club and my opinion might change. In the meantime, he’s done nothing to warrant the praise you’re giving him.

 

It’s not escaped my attention @Tolly856 but far from giving him praise I acknowledged he was negligent for not keeping an eye on Rahic. Incidentally using your analogy of crashing at 80mph it would be Rahic doing the driving while Rupp was asleep in the passenger side. If you find my post embarrassing because I don’t want to drive out probably the only person willing to fund us at the moment that’s your prerogative. I would like to know who you think will bale us out if you and others got their wish and got him to quit the club.

 

But how is he funding us?

He's doing no better than what Rhodes did.

Rupp was a part of the mess now he either needs to move us forward or get out!

If he moves us forward then I will praise but for now no way. The mans failed us!

 

I don’t know what the alternatives are and I’ve not asked for any either. I’ve simply pointed out that Rupp has been terrible for Bradford City- which he has. Can he just do what he wants now because there might not be anyone waiting in the wings, or as the owner of our club are his actions open to criticism? You’re reluctant to criticise Rupp because, to use your own words, he’s “probably” investing in us.
