    I didn't know that. But I think that's worse than letting the current standings stand, it's over soon, was all that money and effort for nothing? Tables don't change much from now on in, but if what you say is correct then I'd change my mind and let the season play out in empty grounds.

    Agree. Got bored after watching for 5 minutes, just doesnt feel right or even a proper match. Its like watching your team train

    With Leicester, Chelsea and an unnamed 3rd club all having players showing symptoms I'm not sure they can even play them behind closed doors for much longer as it becomes a serious risk to the players.

    And tables may not change much in reality but mathematically they can a lot which is the problem. Relegating teams, promoting teams and awarding titles and prize money based of an incomplete season is bad enough but doing so when there is over 20% of games left would just cause even more issues as leagues are going to get caught up in legal battles

    I suspect that if they want to complete this season, they may well have to do it next season.

    If it gets confirmed that the Euros get delayed a year (England must be hoping so with all the strikers being injured) that will certainly make things easier. If it’s not though how do you fit it in especially as we have a winter World Cup coming up that’s going to disrupt that season anyway.

    Not the point I was making. Avoiding unnecessary public gatherings (like the football) should be a no brainer, nevermind hopping planes from country to country to do so.

    The F1 situation is farcical as well. None of the parties who can call it off will do so as it will leave them liable for tens of millions. The teams had a vote and apparently it was a 5-5 split to not take part. Mclaren decide to not take part. Vettel and Kimi apparently said 'sod it' and flew home. When the track opened to prepare for free practice 1 AlphaTauri, Alfa Romeo, Racing Point, Williams and Red Bull turned up basically meaning Mercedes, Ferrari and Renault will be skipping it alongside McLaren

    I guess the PL might do that. Although that would mean a 24 team PL which is going to cause scheduling problems. PL a clubs would have to pull out of League cup imho to make that work.

    Yep. It makes United not getting CL football and taking a hit in the sponsorship money worth it for me :) (As I suspect 5th won’t be enough as this is likely to delay City’s appeal as they won’t be able to attend any CAS hearing anytime soon)

    But that's the problem. Children get a mild version. That makes it harder to detect, and having schools open makes it easier to spread between children who could be mistaken for not having the virus in the first place.

    I get that the government wanted to quash any sense of alarm by saying children won't suffer, so schools should stay open, but they're inviting Trojan horses into every household by doing so.

    The government shouldn't be making excuses like that when they make no logical sense.

    They're 4 teams in Germany going for the title and 6 points points from each other at the top. So you could say no title.

    Liverpool are 22 points clear.
