It is a gamble for Swindon as well they have paid a fee for him probably given him the same terms but they have only got him till the end of the season when they could lose him for nothing.if it goes wrong they will have lost a fair bit of money

How can it be a downgrade how many goals as Doyle scored in open play for us in 18 months

Swindon had a bit of a wobble without Doyle, but they'll be fine for top three.

Club with ambition looking to consolidate their promotion bid, rather than consolidate their League Two status.

Doyle’s career has taken the path of being a hit at one club and not another. He couldn’t adapt move him on bring in someone who can. We will see what happens over the next few weeks how it works out

 

Did I say otherwise. answer this how many goals has he scored for us in open play in 18 months.

 

Bowyer tactics did n’t get the best out of Vaughan or anything out of Doyle so in a way it could be an upgrade if we got the 3 mentioned but only if he can make it work. Big if though.

 

If we're going to ensure Swindon get promoted by gifting them the division's top scorer on a permanent, weakening our forward line in the process, we need to be making a marquee signing to replace him - someone who will get US promoted.

Scunthorpe fans think Novak is baba, a carthorse who works hard, maybe it will suit us better than it will suit them, but now it's crucial to get Agard in and provide the cutting edge up front - these signings HAVE to work out, no ifs, buts or maybes, they HAVE to work out.

So it's going to be interesting viewing.

Just had a quick look at the T&A deadline day blog and saw a full page spread with a picture of Billy Clarke.

I nearly had a heart attack.

 

Bowyer's style of football not blame to some,like I said before,Harry kane would struggle here.

 

What does it tell you when this striker has been shit at 6 of the 9 teams he played for? Same with Vaughan but even worse stats.

Besides, you've seen to completely miss my point that if is Doyle isn't scoring then he doesn't need to be here. I'm not a fan of Bowyer and think he should be sacked, but if he's staying then we might as well cash in on Doyle and save a wage.

 

As yet no conformation from the club (I don't do twitter) so with 7 hours to go I would have thought if they were going to recall him it would have been done by now.

 

Kind of agree, but 'luxury penalty box player'??? Luxury players are those who are ineffective, like Carbone, who would guarantee 7 goals a season and some eye catching assists/passes - the fox in the box type is not a luxury - ever remember anyone calling Lineker a luxury?!

 

its not even a downgrade imo given Doyle couldn't score and couldnt give a stuff about us. Its a very decent frontline for L2.
