Things on paper look good it's the fans who see the warning signs before its documented
Maybe things will pick up maybe this is the start of the decline
Mr Rupp backs Mr Rhodes although you would have thought after the ER fiasco he would be paying closer attention to his investment

 

It's not too early at all. They started season ticket sales for next season for a reason and you expect an uptake.

Either way, fans are not happy and something will give soon.

 

Exactly we were in an Auto/ Play off position when they started selling
You should know "Sell your product when the stocks at its highest"
Simple business acumen
The fact that we could very shortly slide out of the play off spots can only hasten any questions from Mr Rupp
Any idea how many have been sold so far

 

I think the next 3 games are crucial for bowyer if we lose 2 or 3 of them we could be out of playoff positions and quite a few points behind top 3 then Rupp and Rhodes will have to make
the decision because it will be deafening with boos at valley parade

 

I don't think Rupp need worry about Julian mate he's one of us, and I'd be surprised if Julian doesn't make sure he gets all the relevant information as things get done/paid.

 

One of us? Well he will be telling him fans are highly concerned then and saying to him that he's wondering why he sold the club to him.

 

Yes one of us ?, if you don't you understand what I mean by that I'll try and explain,
Once upon a time there was a family called Rhodes David the father use to take his son Julian down to games at Valley Parade, the boy fell in love with Bradford City as we all have done over the years actually becoming a ball boy.
David owned a company (maybe not as big as your company) called Filtronic making hi tech-stuff, as his business grew he he put millions into our club, are you getting the picture, Julian was and still is a Bradford City fan first hence the (one of us) way before he had any financial input into the club.

I was referring more to whether he is reporting to him "the natives are getting restless" etc
although I am no fan of GB and to me it seems highly unlikely 7 points from the next 3 games and a more attacking style of play will appease the majority

 

I don't quite understand the point you are putting across here. Are you giving us background as to why Julian should passionately tell Rupp and Bowyer, that things are not going to plan, and unless something changes very soon, then we'll be in League two for a second season? If so - then I completely agree where you (and Rhodes) are coming from.

If not, then, ummm.

 

I really don't care if he is one of us or a alien from Mars.

What I want from Rhodes is to take the club forward which currently isn't happening.

If he's one of us as you say then he will know fans are not happy with Bowyer and he has to go! The booing will tell him that and the chants of boring, boring Bowyer from away fans.

Rhodes has a job to do and he needs to leave if he sticks with Bowyer and Bowyer doesn't take us up then he can be one of us in the stands!

 

Julian will be just as frustrated as the rest of us and just as bored. However, it is a difficult decision to dispense with a manager even if the plan has gone pear shaped. I have no doubt he will be keeping Stefan uptodate on how things are going. Including the fan’s unhappiness at both the style of play plus the drying up of points. Both have had rocky times when dismissing managers and things not improving.

 

I don't know how a video conference would go if that's how they communicate , he could mention that some of the fans are getting a little anxious with regards the teams performances many believing we should be acquiring more points and at full time against Scunthorpe there was booing from the crowd.
I'm only guessing what might be said, but even if he did point it out to Rupp I would very much think Rupp would ask his opinion on the rest of the season, fortunately I doubt he would be as negative as some of our fans, at the moment Bowyer still has the team in a very good position for a play off place at least and anything better would be a bonus, who knows what their objectives were before the start of the season, even some of our fans were saying mid table, steadying the ship.
My point was Julian is a Bradford City fan first so any advice he does pass onto Rupp will be to benefit the club I would think.

 

Bowyer has been backed by Rupp and Rhodes but the football dished up wouldn't go do well for you local pub team.

The decision is clear .. stick with Bowyer, lose fans and pressure on himself and the owner.

Or protect the owner, himself and give the club a chance to go up with a manager that will give the players & fans hope.

A man that cares admits their mistakes... Bowyer is a mistake! If he's one of us he will admit the mistake and alter it!

To be fair he knew Hopkin was a mistake and got him out. I have faith in Rhodes to do the right thing and give a new manager chance to get us in an automatic place.

I posted Julian is "one of us" in his reply Fordy put one of us ?, so I pointed out the background of Julian becoming a Bradford City fan, and that he was a fan way before the Rhodes family finance the club, does that make more sense ?.

But he can't make that decision until Bowyer fails to take us up, that's not hard to understand is it, or we have such a collapse in form that come March we cant make the points up for a play of place.

I agree and a bloody good job he did wasn't he on a two year contract.

 

Maybe he has, but I'm not sure he would tell it like some on here, you would think Rupp would ask Julian's advice even with the obvious fans frustration I'm not sure it's time for sacking Bowyer and hoping the new man can turn what still a healthy league position around.
