Maybe the times don't work for him, i dunno. Just seemed like a guy who was switched on, has a clear path of what he wants to achieve at the back end of his career.

 

Comes across that way to me too, don't begrudge him trying to look out for himself and his family. Just hope there's some good in it for us lot.

 

As part owner of a new business in Dublin, it might be handy to not to stray too far from Liverpool ferries. That might make Wigan, Preston and Blackburn possibilities - or somewhere with a direct flights to Dublin airport. (I note Swindon is not that far from Bristol Airport's flights to Dublin.)

I suppose it depends on what is in his contract with us and his season long loan agreement with Swindon Is a season classesd as 46 league games or does it include play off matches

 

Interesting question, wonder if play off matches like cup games, can only play with our permission..?

They probably have. This meeting might be to confirm they haven't changed their minds or that no injuries have been picked up after the game on Saturday.

They've probably made the decisions in kind.

However, there's no point making a decision before the day itself.

That would be liking offering a transfer fee in October to sign a player in January.

Nothing can be done until January actually arrives, so offering a fee would be based on old information.

We can't pretend to be surprised that there is a meeting to discuss the situation.

 

They would of talked about it for sure but the meeting scheduled today will be to discuss all the players(players have a day off) and to see who is staying & who we want out etc it won't be just to talk about Doyle.

I said nothing would get done before the Swindon game.

I feel he's coming back though. Bowyer said he just wants to play and he would still get into our side. His mate McCartan commented on it also.

I'm not convinced Doyle wants to sign for Swindon or that they have shown us the money.

The loan agreement signed in the summer doesn't work for us now. Swindon need to seriously up the offer.

 

I'm thinking Swindon still don't want to pay 100% of his wages. As I've said before even if we let him go for free (not that we should) he still might not be able to agree terms with Swindon.

 

Theres no excuse for us not taking a bullish commercial position here. If Swindon wont pay up, we take him back. It should be that simple.

 

Spot on. I keep saying we act like a charity and I am not convinced Swindon have up their offer for Doyle.

So, if Doyle does go back to them on the same terms then we might as well rebrand the club Bradford Charity City.

 

I agree. My point was that the clubs might agree a deal but Swindon might not be prepared to offer Doyle what he thinks he's worth. So he still ends up back with us.
