It was Cougar, on the early part of this topic.

Agreed with points 2 and 3 although getting Vaughan looking more dangerous from open play goes hand in hand with being more expressive and improving performances.

We have 7 games in January. For me we should recall Doyle and play him against Morecambe, Swindon & Crawley. If nothing has changed and we are still not a fit for each other, then look to strike a deal with Swindon before the end of January.

Think if we "drag" him back Swindon would lose interest and we would have to go back cap in hand begging them to take him off our hands weakening our bargaining position He can't play for anyone else this season
Swindon have more than Doyle knocking the goals in at the moment and would utilize another player in that position

Doyle failed to score yesterday. He's yesterday's man now if not quite last year's! He's reached his peak and he's now on a downward trajectory! Why would we want him back under those circumstances? ;)

Does anyone know when Donaldson is back? No coincidence that vaughan's drop in form has coincided with Donaldson injury.

As far as Doyle goes I'm still torn. I think he's shown a total lack of respect and professionalism to his employers by being so vocal and trying to force a move. You see more of this type of player power higher up the league and it saddens me to see him behaving in such a classless way. Part of me thinks let's show him who's boss and bring him back and either let him rot or play a part if he can try lower himself to be arsed. Dream scenario is he stays there, we get cash to strengthen and ultimately surpass swindon and Doyles purple patch comes to an abrupt end.

Look at payne last year everyone thought our survival depended on his staying. Benefit of hindsight proved that gamble was the wrong decision.

I wouldn’t leave Vaughan out to accommodate to Doyle and we tried playing all three at the start of the season and it didn’t work

    That's just stupid.

So you wouldn't accommodate the leading goal scorer in division?

    Nonsense!

It didn't work because he was playing Doyle as the hold up player with his back to goal. He should have played Donaldson in that position to feed Doyle and Vaughan.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing but he should have known Donaldson's capability with his back to goal (as he was the one who signed him), and his superiority over Doyle in that position.

Late January he told me before the Salford game, lazy bugger was awaiting the lift in the Sunwin Stand and we still beat him to the suite ;).

That would make sense and Swindon would become more desperate.

Swindon have a sort of injury crisis with four or five likely missing tomorrow. One or two likely missing at the weekend and had to play a forward at centre back against Vale. However, as Paul Caddis says "we have a good squad, that's what it's there for....we can do well at Plymouth"
    We shall see.

Plymouth away then us at home. Two extremely tough matches for them on paper.

Either way doubt Doyle will be playing for them on Saturday. We could be level with them a game in hand if we beat them on Saturday.

They'll become more desperate for sure if that happens and if they pick up more injuries then that works in our favour also but currently Swindon are top and I want to bring them down.

Even if Doyle comes back to us until the end of Jan it could be a smart move.

Doyle is not allowed to play against us. He didn't play at VP which according to the Swindon Directors was the reason they didn't beat us.

Them directors must of been watching a different game to me. Yates had a golden chance but barring that I felt it was one of our best performances of the season.

Well them directors better could be in for a few difficult weeks and the no money games they played at the start of the season can't be played again and it's time to decide do they stick or twist.
