    The difference in the Vaughan analogy is that Vaughan is actually our player, not a loanee. Technically we own both players but are paying one to send a rival to the top of the league. Doesn't sit well with me that's all. Of course you think it's best for it to stay as it is.

    The irony is we are our own worst enemy when it comes
    to goalscorers.We just seem in capable of getting the best
    out of them due to not playing to their strengths.

    You play a good style which suits Doyle. My preference
    would be buy him in Jan window and hope we can get
    a couple of strikers in to replace him.

    My opinion hasn't changed. Doyle was was behind Vaughan and Donaldson in the pecking order, was more than likely going to benched after BowyerS failed experiment and certainly wasn't a player who was integral to our set up.

    You can bring up posts from months ago all you like, any comments referring to his poor performances were more than justified. The only reason it's "painful" to read is because you clearly have a hard time comprehending facts.

    Well he hardly hit the heights for City now did he? Nobody, not even Richie Wellens, would have honestly predicted the scoring streak Doyle is on. On his performances in a City shirt the loan to Swindon was justified.

    No, he was poor, and that the manager's supposedly misused him en masse is a lazy excuse for his underperformance.

    Doyle is a specialist striker who needs to play under specific conditions in order to get the best out of him. Wellens understands that, and Doyle is the perfect striker for his teams and the way they play.

    I got a fair amount of grief from the handful of fans that thought there was something in Doyle while he was at City (@NorthernMonkey@NorthernMonkey, to his credit, was one) - but when Northern was saying Doyle was making me look foolish, that seemed to open the door to hangers on who wanted to position themselves as long-term Doyle supporters as well.

    There are multiple posters on here who had a dig, but @Tolly856@Tolly856 is probably the most recent and obnoxious - so to see that he was as damning as I was is just gold!
