Yep. When the cross came in for him he seemed a few yards ahead when the ball was played if you draw a line across the box. To be fair though we won so I’m not going to lose sleep over it

By that logic Ismail and Connolly were shit too as they got into good positions but crossed poorly.

Not doubting his lack of consistent performance but you know what, on a positive day I'm gonna give him this one. A little bit of cheek to his adversaries, yeah he can have that one.

He's set the a bar to attain. Hard work and a good aptitude will reap dividends. We will see...

Problem is that he set a bar away to Burton last year. It's then taken until now for him to even get close.

Agreed though, let him have this one and hopefully it's a signal there's more consistency to come.

 

I'm certainly not wax lyrical about his all around performance today. He gave up possession and ball especially first half but he worked to get into the game and had a very decent second half, especially supporting centrally .

Like I say I'll give him today.

 

Not sure I’d say far and away, but he would get my man of the match just. Donaldson was very close imo, his hold up as a lone striker today was invaluable. Something we sorely missed last season.

On Cooke what I will say is this team has improved dramatically since he’s come into the team, even when it was initially as a sub you could see the difference immediately.

 

Donaldson worked hard but if we retain this formation surely Vaughan replaces him next week?

 

Thought the whole team was a 7 apart from Cooke who was a good 8

 

I really wouldn't be in a rush to change a winning team, just starting to look like we can put a run together, lets remember if it had not been for a rush of blood by BRE at Cheltenham we would have got a point and been 6 without defeat, winning 4 of them.
IMO we have not played with any consistence so far this season but still digging results out, today we were without the likes of BRE, Vaughan, Devett, Riley, Reeves,Palmer, Gibson.

 

Some say a certain full back was a 3....in the words of Jarvis Cocker, "are you sure....
