What we know that Bowyer apparently doesn't

Better to do it now than wait until the transfer window shuts, by all accounts Bowyer has lost the f*cking plot

 

Doesn't it shut in a week or so? Even if a new man came in they'd have no time to act to bring in anyone until January.....and that's even before the fact we've spent the budget is taken into consideration!

We cling onto this 2nd September as each week goes by and still nothing changes, let’s not forgot the areas we are short have not been addressed all summer.

That AOC is a total tool? I noticed yesterday he tore into Tyler French a couple of times. The manner he did it in seemed somewhat over the top considering it was the lads professional debut and a bit of a baptism of fire to say the least.

Contrast that to Paudie when AOC played that horror pass that gifted PNE the third goal. Went straight over to AOC (who I think was on the deck), picked him up and appeared to give him a bit of an arm round the shoulder type of chat. Already liked Paudies attitude but I thought that was class. Particularly as it was with AOC who clearly would never have done the same.

 

A O’C is just a prize A t**t isn’t he. I hope he can find a club back in Scotland before the window shuts - bad eggs not wanted here.

 

It’s tough with our fans. You get 6 games to start producing results. If you don’t youre out and we want another. And repeat.

 

Unless the results are disastrous and the performances poor in the coming weeks, I would have the patience to stick with him. When he got Blackpool promoted at the first attempt, I believe they were mid table in February, before everything clicked into place.

I know people are sick of the repeated excuse, but he is genuinely still been hampered badly, by the dreadful recruitment policy of Rahic. The only big minus for me about him so far, is offering Anderson and Devine new contracts, just dont get that.

 

They were as low as 17th I think. If we are anywhere near that in February he won’t get the time with the fans here

 

Calling for his head at this stage is sheer lunacy. The market is still open for transfers/loans so there is still time to add to what is looking an average league 2 squad as it stands. Its clear at the moment the pre season hype and feel good factor masked over problems still here from last season and that dilemmas like Robinson and Reeves and over rated players like Patrick and Akpan won't just simply go away. Bowyers first job is to get a couple of players in to strengthen that midfield, doing this could save his season. Then he has to strategise a style of play that means the getting the best out of players at his disposal and not hanging players out to dry like Henley and Doyle. And he has to act fast, his period of goodwill is running out and his reputation will be based on this seasons results.

He would have been first out of the door for me. Having a go at a young lad in his first appearance and out of position. I just hope his confidence isn’t shaken. GB needs to take him to one side and reassure him. He also needs to give mouth almighty a few choice words!

 

I was at the recent fans forum in Bingley, French was one of the players who attended. Have to say he came over as a genuinely sound bloke. He was quite open about the fact that it was a big jump coming from non league, training two evenings a week & building conservatories by day! Certainly seemed to be keen to learn & develop. His attitude seemed spot on so hopefully he won’t let the likes of AOC knock his confidence.

 

I remember McMahon doing that to Reeves at Portsmouth away over delaying a throw in. The Portsmouth crowd thrived over it and Reeves hasn't been the same since
