However, of we're holding out for compo from
a non league club then more fool us. I can only think our behaviour is because we know another league club is interested.

 

Straight back in for me, not fussed which CB position he plays as he’s better than O’Connor and BRE on what I’ve seen.

Although I do like the thought of BRE up against Hanson, who will be a handful and will want to impress so I think we should match up big unit V big unit

The strong wind might help us if we play it on the deck. If Grimsby try playing direct football up towards Hanson he will have trouble timing his headers...if the ball get's anywhere near him. This could be an ugly game of football that is decided by one goal either way.

 

We can't sign anybody before tomorrows game.

 

with it been early kick off, is there any way of watching the game? Very unlikely but would of been nice to sup a pint and watch the boys

I can’t see POC coming straight back in, especially as AOC did nothing wrong and was the better of the 2 CBS. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see Doyle starting up top again.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see the same XI starting with only changes made to the bench. Perhaps Akpan/Devine instead of Anderson if he’s not trained most of the week.

 

I cant wait to get back to it.

With the ball, we play 3-4-1-2 (Scannell in a free role behind the front 2) and when defending, we revert to 5-3-2

 

Just watching Liverpool playing 4-3-3. When they're attacking it's really 2-5-3. The fullbacks provide all the width and the front three are just that. Can't see that we've the personnel to play like that. The other version of it is 4-3-1-2 which is what I think we're trying to play. But that requires a talented midfielder as no. 10, which we might have in McCartan but certainly not in Doyle. I don't really think we have the players to play any system properly at the moment. Also watched a bit of the City v Northampton game and we had Doyle and Jones as our midfield two. Not very creative but didn't need to be. Just fed the front two or Reid and Thompson. That could be the way to go for us if we read Scannell for Reid and ano for Thompson. But I don't think we will.
