    Depending on how the squad is looking in a month, maybe a young centre forward in on loan, I’d expect Patrick to be released so he can find a club at his level.

    I understand the rationale but releasing someone with two years left on their contract probably isn't easy or cheap.

    Out of the trialists on show, the one who looked to have something about him was Reagan Booty. Tidy and industrious. I would think that he was worth another look at, especially if some of our players move on.

    He’s got one year left on his contract now. It’s easy to release them if they agree, all you need to do is agree how much of the outstanding value of their contract you’re going to pay them. If they stay, whether they play or not you’re paying them 100% of the value of their contract. By agreeing to pay out say 75% the club saves a few quid and the player gets a chance to get games somewhere else. If the player is told he’s no chance of playing, then he needs to balance up what he wants to do, a year kicking his heels or move on.

    Robinson is suspended and will be a asset if he's allowed to play again.
    Riley and Gibson haven't seen enough of the to judge.
    O'Connor will be decent at this level
