See the judge has thrown out the Boris case, as most right minded people thought it would, or there might have been several ex MP and PMs attending future trails for also telling lies, Blair, Brown, Cameron and Osborne for a start.
    Common sense prevails.

Looking very much like Boris for the next PM with 144 votes 71 clear off Jeremy Hunt, I accept there are more rounds to go but a commanding lead at the moment, the first job as the new Prime Minister Boris needs to have a major clear out of May's cronies, out with Philip Hammond, Jeremy Hunt, Amber Rudd, Matt Handcock, Michael Gove, Sajid Javid, and Rory Stewart, and fill their places with leavers.
Labour's tabled motion last night to give Parliament the power to block a no-deal Brexit was defeated, and rightly so IMO, now you have the Ace card that the majority of MP's in Parliament didn't want you to have, Theresa would have never use it or even threatened to use it.

I know he has little chance but the one who has impressed me most is Rory Stewart he has had an impressive past as well worth reading up about him. Boris is a bit of a Buffoon and there are lots of other things this country should be thinking of other than Brexit rather than tax cuts for the very wealthy

Rory Stewart was speaking about the country needing a new type of Prime Minister and I agree, a pro Brexit Prime Minister who will argue back with the likes of Junker, Barnier, Varadkar, Tusk and co.
Well as you say back Boris when he goes to renegotiate or Brexit will drag on, you can't knock Boris for showing his true Blue colours with regards lower tax's for higher earners, although I never understood this lower tax's for high earners and they will pay rather than trying to avoid playing, the vast majority don't get that option it's taken at source.

It's now come out 'A former key aide to Barack Obama has confirmed David Cameron personally asked the US president to warn Britain would be "back of the queue" for a post-Brexit trade deal" so the remainers also told lies, who'd have thought it.

Just worked out today that me and my mrs will be £100'000 worse off because of our pensions being moved to 67 years old from 60 and 65. We've started a plan to give us a chance of maybe retirement at 62. Our original plan was to retire at 60 which we started 20 years ago. Probably not totally relevant to this thread but as there are many people like us, where the f*** is all the money going.

The idea of moving the retirement age is to save the government money so you will be worse off. Not sure why it is a surprise to anyone. The state pension isn’t a sustainable model anymore and needs a major revamp. But it isn’t something that can be done overnight, so spreading it over 20/30 seems the best idea.

Thanks I feel better now. I think it would have been better aimed at people who had more time to plan for it. It's not a surprise to me but I feel shafted all the same.

The changes from 60 for women was announced in 1995. 20 years notice seems plenty

Don't think it was introduced then but was sped up in the last few years. Nevertheless it's nice to know that however the government shafts us you're on their side.

It isn’t about being on a side. The announcement and dates was set up in 95, yes it was accelerated slightly in 2011 but not by much.

The pension had to be equalised to the same age and moving it to 60 for both was a non starter due to cost. When the pension was introduced the average time people claimed was 3 years. If that was the same still the age would be a lot higher

Wish the government were being tongue in cheek. I understand the need for savings due to people living longer but why shaft the people that have already paid their due.

So how long would you give notice? Only way not to effect those already paying in would be announce it now and start it 50 years later.

Offer people of a certain age a reduced pension at their original pension age and make that back by increased pension contributions from people of a younger age with time to plan.

If you're 20 you have got 50 years to plan etc. There would be a time when reduced pensions would meet planned pensions.
