Agree with the fall back options, I have have much more faith in Bowyer to have identified other options should this fall through than the comedy combo of Rahic/Collins or the Ginger porridge gobbler. The whole approach this season seems more methodical and organised. Bowyer doesn't strike me as bloke that likes to leave much to chance. If Doyle leaves and Vaughan goes elsewhere, I wont be panicking

I have heard a couple more could be leaving in the week ahead, makes sense as teams start to return to pre-season training. And not concerned about the striker position (yet) as sounds like GB has a number of options he is pursuing in case we get a knock back - agree with most that getting some creativity into midfield is the key area we yet need to really address

 

And a ball winner in there. None of our midfielders can make a tackle - we need an entirely new midfield.

Oh please, give us a break! You slag off just about all media hacks, so now he is the business because he was in on the Tranmere scenario. FB gave the info as he understood it, fair enough, sometimes things don’t go to plan.

 

Pretty sad state of affairs when Tranmere can pinch a player from you by offering more wages.

 

Exactly. Things change. The other stories were posted- and proved correct- on the belief that everything was done and dusted. Same thing with Vaughan. Looks like any agreement wasn't tied down commercially and Tranmere have nipped in. If it isnt 100% then who knows, it may change again. If not the we'll find someone else.

For obvious reasons, the ITK stuff that's pushed out is only done when its believed that it cant cause deals to blow up. If it's been a factor with Vaughan then maybe it'll have to stop. Personally, I'll only ever put anything out that I have confidence in and that wont cause damage to a source or the club. If its speculative or not definitive- like the left winger deal, then I'll say so. I've also said that I'll say who it is if he goes elsewhere.
