Only a kid 21 years of age if he is out of contract he could be one for the future, he wouldn't be on great money at Oxford City.

 

He is not “Pissing us about” he is doing what most decent players do taking his time to get the best deal.

 

Agreed, he only has a few miles left on the clock. Career coming to a close soon. You want to ensure you get the best financial package for you and your families future.

Why have the club let this drag on so long unless his agent has been playing us against other clubs in which case I can not see him arriving.

Not sure its the club who have been pushing Vaughan as a potential signing Stork, I think people on Cows Arse (and one or two on here) who can take the credit! I have been told GB has a list re strikers as he will know better than most some players will look for the best deal purely in terms of cash (pushed by their agents) and he is looking for the ones who also see playing for City as a key credential

I thought we were trying to move Doyle on before we could get Vaughan over the line, and that has allowed other clubs to show an interest?

Is that the club’s fault? Perhaps whoever the leak is within the club, could be blamed?

 

If there was a need for Doyle to move on first then as I said I hope they have a plan B in place

 

Don’t know if this was the case, but something I believe came from TCA when the deal didn’t get announced last week. They were adamant a deal had been agreed and could only assume Doyle leaving had to happen first.

As you say, I hope we have another plan in place. Happy if we start with Donaldson and Doyle, but we need more as I don’t rate McCartan and/or Patrick as back-up

 

TCA now saying we've been gazumped by Tranmere, deal agreed but agent played the on holiday card to find another club who'd beat the terms..

After the media guy on Friday having banter with TCA on Twitter and looking like a deal was going to be announced..

Honestly not that bothered, it's not a good look and hopefully a few people will learn from this, but I think there's younger hungrier talent in the lower leagues to maybe take a chance with

 

We need that big young physical Blackpool striker that GB signed for them, 75K should do it

 

I'd go for someone like Callum lang from Wigan 20 yr old had a full season on loan at Oldham last year, decent pace good finisher and doubt he will get first team football at Wigan. Or if were really lucky go for Tyler Walker from forest but I think he will get offers from higher up

 

Not quite. We're still waiting to hear back from Vaughan although it's not looking as promising as it once was. Deal agreed in principle only for Tranmere to come in at the last minute.

Why would a leak be blamed for scuppering this deal?

You are naive if you don't think Vaughan's agent has prostituted his client around to every club he does and doesn't have contacts with.
