If it happens, I think it’d be our best deal so far. Don’t want to mislead anyone though - far from a done deal the last I heard.

I'll have a guess FB but I think both are way out of our range, I think they will go a lot higher but our business has surprised me this pre season so who knows.

I'd hope so. That midfield would br one of the weakest in the division without reinforcements.

If the player in question rocks up somewhere else, I’ll glady say who it is - cos it won’t make a difference then. I’m pretty sure we’ve got more than one target in mind though. Bowyer seems to know his onions and has some excellent contacts. Greg Abbot, he is not...

 

Agree, a luxury needs to be a regular and consistent luxury. Its easier to just remember the goals and assists as they are obvious but the detrimental affect to the team is less obvious as he won't individually give goals away but the lack of defensive nous etc exposes others.

 

A mentally fit Jake Reeves is a great option to have in this league.

I have every faith GB will turn his fortunes around.

 

He’s been out for so long, even if he’s mentally right there’s no guarantee that he’ll be able to perform to the standard needed. Putting any expectation on him is a big risk.

I think our central midfield needs real work. Minimum 1, probably 2 new players needed in there.

 

Hope Akpan is the next to leave, which will free up some movement.

Reeves has kept himself physically fit throughout the time he has been out. Granted, he needs match sharpness; but that’s the purpose of pre-season.

 

Wrong. Jake has no mental issues other than being depressed for being out so long with a PHYSICAL issue. I think and hope this is now behind him because GB has taken an interest in getting things right as opposed to ER and others who wrote him off because that was easy.
See how it goes eh, think you will be surprised.

 

Is it the winger from Birmingham who was on loan at blackpool

 

No surprises here, WW; I anticipate him to be a very influential player next season.

Thank you Roger for that, a bit of transparency.. Just one question could the club not have solved all this innuendo surrounding reeves by making that statement earlier instead of all the cloak and dagger stuff. Both hopkin and grayson made comments along the lines of "I've never seen jake reeves"
