New Signing: James Vaughan

I only hope that Bowyer has spelt out to him, warts and all, what Bradford City is all about. From the crap changing rooms, to sharing training facilities with a private school (@Fordy117), to making your own way to away games (only kidding).

We don’t want or need any excuses about how much of a joke club we are. We don’t need another O’Connor on our books, although I am a little nervous based on the info from @Lost Mackem

Not doubting that they have got it right about our interest and possible talks with Vaughan. I just think another club will come in for him in league 1

After last season watching Doyle, Miller and Bruenker, if you told me were potentially having starting strikers in league 2 of the likes of Donaldson and Vaughan i would definitely be getting aroused.

 

Poor Billy Clarke. Doesn’t even get a mention.

Be a great signing this if it comes off.

Can see him doing well in league two. Maybe the perfect league to find himself again and hopefully get us plenty of goals to fire us back up the league. Him and Donaldson couple prove to be a good partnership

For those doubting it, I’d say imagine how you’d feel if one of our rivals signed these two. I think we’d be envious.

@Lost Mackem i would say sometimes it doesn’t work at some clubs for some players. The attitude thing is a worry but I think the right mindset he will be an asset in league two.
Sunderland does seem to be a bit of a graveyard for strikers, no disrespect.

Any news on when Geoff's putting pen to paper yet?

 

Rumour is he was seen in the Tesco metro on manningham lane, buying some fresh pizza this aft. So expect an announcement soon.

 

Imagine paying for a new striker then not putting your hand in your pocket for the extra 10p! Poor do!

 

I remember the days when you bought a footballer and got the bag for free. Good times.

 

At City we normally buy the bag and get the footballer for free.

 

But Vaughan is capable.

 

Quality player if he still has it.
Would have been a Premier league player if his body had held up when younger.

There is no way atm this club is going to be able to afford someone who has banged In 20/30 goals last year. Even from league 2 / conference they cost a million if they are of a good age.

Worth the gamble.

 

Vaughan and Donaldson would be the best league two frontline possibly ever. Another big central midfield name and we are bang in business neat season.
