Why so uncaring? wheres your compassion? if he has a year left on his contract why bother paying him off why not let him try recover? These lads are institutionalised from a young age you only have to watch the telly last night with the ex SAS guy saying as soon as he was discharged his problems became worse.

Bradford city arent just about the winning mentality and youre a grown man, act like one!

I was talking to several Don's fans (sensible one's) on North Parade after the game, we were discussing Hanson, Poleon and Wilson. When I mentioned Reeves he was the one they eulogised about.

I'm not very forgiving about any of that crap from last season, however Reeves never really give us opportunity to formulate an opinion either way.
If he can put his 'ailments' behind him, then maybe he can work it to his advantage and go into his final year with a clean slate.
Good luck to him, he's got the first 45mins against Guiseley to prove himself haha

I'll tell you what, he could earn a long term deal and a big raise if he has a good game against Guiseley.

remember that day Tim Dieng bossed it? man it was like we'd signed Pirlo in his prime.

I hope the photo in that article is recent as he at least looked in shape. Suspect its an old one.

Someone put a photo up before the AFC Wimbledon game, he was in the background, and he seemed to be carrying plenty of condition.

Hope he’s made to feel welcome and gets back in this year. For all the jokes about his whereabouts, he could be very good in L2 if he’s sorted himself out.

Bowyer had him scouting so hopefully he feels part of the new set up and can get a good pre season under his belt.

    Explains his stiffness.
    Or depression.
Or he's not quick enough home from the shop to catch the plumber at it.

All I hope is he gets fit again but I don't see him playing for the club this year or at all again.

Yeah, sounds like he’d get your support....! You’ve already suggested ripping up his contract. Is that really ‘understanding ‘???

There's seems a lot of unsympathetic speculations regarding Reeves LONG time out of football.
GB reported “It’s the worst part of being a professional footballer. I’ve been in that position and fully understand where he’s been at" wonder what some will, not too accurately, know what the similarities are

Also known as sitting on his juicy contract for the remaining year and moving closer to home?

I’m glad I don’t work for a fictitious business you have.

Some comments on Reeves completely spin my head. There was one on the T&A that claimed he was obviously a “pot head” (fortunately now removed). Seriously, what the hell is wrong with people?!

We’ve had sufficient enough information to have an understanding that his situation isn’t as simple as just the injury. Done - for now what else do we need to know? Bowyer has clearly indicated his support in Reeves to hopefully get him back playing. Bravo to him. Let the lad continue his recovery and support him rather than victimise him.

I for one will be happy to see him back in our squad if he can regain the form he had at Wimbledon, and some of the games he played for us. Whilst he didn't put in back to back world beating performances, there were signs of decent player, very much so for league two level.

Here we go again every time Reeves name comes up, there is all kinds of speculation about ‘what is wrong with him’ All we need to know is that he is not available to play football. The club have been spot on as far as I am concerned, supporting our player back to full recovery if that is possible. I am pleased he is continuing his recovery through the summer.

He is one of our players, and we should be supporting him all the way.

That argument makes no logical sense whatsoever. If he is homesick and wants to return down south, is the best way to achieve that faking an injury for 2 years so that no other club will want to come near you, or getting out on the pitch and showing you are a decent player for this level in order to attract interest from clubs closer to home as soon as possible?
I think what Tallinn posted yesterday about his own groin injury and how it affected him was very interesting and is probably closer to the truth about what is going on with Reeves than any stupid theory that he is just running down his contract.

He's probably got a year left now to prove that he still has a career in football. Everyone wishes him well in his bid to succeed but at lower league level clubs simply can't afford to have someone earning a salary but not contributing on the pitch.

It as obviously something worse than mental. Mental health help and topics are all over the media ref footballers and men. Maybe a cross dresser?

Seriously we really did not hear anything for over a year apart from sound bites of he is on is way back etc etc etc. Its been a very strange one.

Not sure how being a cross dresser limits ones footballing qualities. It’s not a disability, FFS.
