Hopefully their parents will tell them why it’s such an important match and it can be a useful life lesson, if people don’t show up because Sane and Salah aren’t there then shame on them is all I can say. This match is about something far more important than football and seeing a few celebrities.

Of course it is, which is why I hope it’s a sell out no matter who’s playing. And if the superstars don’t turn up, which I don’t think they will then I hope the parents, grandparents etc. Will educate their children as to why they are attending a game where the result doesn’t matter.

Personally I think it’ll be a Derby select 11 on both sides l, probably history makers for us and players from around the time he was at Liverpool for them. Which personally I’d prefer than out league 2 outfit getting hammered. It’d be good to see two of his former gaffers in midfield. I better Parky and McCall would have been a good partnership in their day.

 

A Darby select 11 would be a good idea not sure how much the game would mean to some of our resent recruits.

 

not sure how other clubs with players under contract would feel about their players taking part. although minimal, the risk of injury is there and sentiment may not take place.

 

Depends how many have retired, the Liverpool 11 I’d imagine most have now as it’s a long time since he started there. Not sure on the history makers without looking further into it.

 

We don’t know if it’s even going to take place yet. Conjecture on my part but when I heard charity match, I imagined more soccer aid or testimonial than a proper pre season friendly so I wouldn’t even expect them to take part. But we’ll have to see.

 

Even if Liverpool send their "legends" team including Daglish, Rush, Grobellaar, Lawrensen etc.. it will be the best football we see at Valley Parade this season. So whatever side they send for this great cause is fine by me.

Got to be a wind up all 4 must over 60, not suggesting they wouldn't beat our lot but come on 60+.

 

Love to see Kenny Dalglish taking on our defence with his red cheeks glowing. Probably wouldn't be the ones next to his lips but he 'd still tear our lot to pieces.
