Liverpool friendly (Now with Poll)

If it does happen it should be a great occasion, even if it is only a Liverpool XI it's still likely to include some of the players who aren't playing in a tournament in the summer so the likes of Oxlade-Chamerlain and Milner could play and out of the the youngsters that play you are likely to see a few that make it big in a few years

OK. So you've engaged your brain to make an assumption but when others do it you chime in with "show me the evidence". Bit of double standards there.

 

bit of a juxtaposition for you there and i see the cavalry have chimed in with their likes of your post but i have actually posted you the information we have at hand and evidence of why it’s more than likely that there won’t be a full first team squad playing in a friendly that hasn’t even been confirmed yet and neither club has put out any information into the public domain that may even suggest that such a match is being organised. if you need a recap of what we know then it’s because of;

- euro league nations, african cup of nations, euro qualifiers, copa america, champions league final.

- liverpool will have at least 12 first team members involved in matches up until early july and then they’ll need at least some sort of end of season break before they embark on their pre-season tour to the US around 16-17th july.

if you need any more help understanding all that then feel free to give me a shout.

if the friendly is confirmed and liverpool bring a full XI then congrats, i’m sure you’ll have a great day but if they don’t then don’t go moaning to the club.

Liking posts or disagreeing with them is mainly what a fans message board is all about, you made your point and one member (so far) has agreed with it.

Have a read back at your post and be honest. Not evidence of them bringing a second team though, is it? It's just a series of plausible activities and dates that you're putting forward as support for your argument. Not evidence.

I was told a strong Liverpool squad now to some that will mean tonights 201819 Champions League winners . which is really not going to happen, to others it will be the best Liverpool can bring regarding everything their players are involved in as well as holidays, but I'd hope to most it will be a matter of supporting Stephen Darby and his charity, I was hoping the better the squad they could send ths bettrr the attendance.

 

their u23s is a strong squad and would give us a good game, possibly win.. if that turns up are you going to be happy?

and there’s currently more info, with dates known of competitions which players will be taking part in to show it’s not going to be their first team? so i’m correct.

I will be there to support Stephan Darby and his charity, my comment about Liverpool's squad was because maybe not everyone feels the same, they may like to see the Liverpool stars.

 

because i am correct. at the moment, the information that we have is that there is no confirmed friendly taking place between bradford city and a team representing liverpool fc and that the only date available due to our other pre-season commitments is the weekend of the 13th july..

considering this and knowing that there are several of liverpool’s current first team / starting XI that will be taking part in other tournaments (african cup of nations, euro championship qualifiers, copa america, euro nations league finals around and over this date) and that the date available is only 6 weeks after the champions league final, plus that they are committed to a pre-season tour in the US with their first game to take place on 18th july - also, taking in to play that these players are going to need some sort of end of season break which is usually 4-5 weeks dependent on other contributing factors it can be determined that the team representing liverpool won’t be made up of those players.

now because i haven’t jumped on the bandwagon, gotten myself all excited about this possibly friendly and i actually thought about what is realistic regarding the side that liverpool may or may not send (considering the above factors) some fans have spat their dummies out and taken umbrage that i seem to have pointed out things that they had not considered when this rumoured fixture was first mentioned. it’s not my fault that they didn’t engage the thought processes to take all these things in to consideration.

i put that question out to others; if this friendly does take place - will people be happy that it may not be the players they want to see and may be made up of u23s and some fringe squad players?

because i guarantee now that if it is, some people will moan at the club and blame them, again without taking the above factors in to consideration. all i’ve done is point out that they may be disappointed.

regarding your “you’re a strange one” comment - i’ve noticed more and more how you tend to ‘like’ other peoples posts that have derogatory comments towards others and you often have what seem to be jovial digs at people. i used to think you were better than that. my
mistake.

To say you picked me up on my spelling auto correct or other wise for an educated poster you should know you start a sentence off with a CAPITAL.

That's what posting on a forum is all about agreeing with a fellow posters point unfortunately there is no facility to disagree, so if you disagree you post a response.

With regards "jovial digs" sometimes it's required I have more than many on here but we get along.

yeh, it’s the settings on my phone - i like to post in lowercase. it’s not shouty that way.

my point is regarding that when people post derogatory comments about other posters you seem to be the first one ‘liking’ that comment. i imagine you like to consider yourself a ‘centrist’.

and that’s the problem with this site sometimes, too many people needing the security of others to make them feel validated and back up their points. too many cliques. they know who they are.

 

As I'm the second highest poster on here I would think I'm well up there with others who give the most likes unfortunately this forum does not show how many given just the likes received, how you interpret them is your opinion, I'm sure if I was breaking forum rules I would be told.
