what we know about liverpool’s pre-season for 2019/20:

- a couple of days after the champions league final Henderson, Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Gini Wijnaldum and Xherdan Shaqiri go to play in the UEFA Nations League finals.

- Alisson and Firmino go to the Copa America (June 14 - July 7).

- Salah, Sadio Mane and Keita to the Africa Cup of Nations (June 21 - July 19).

they are all going to need a rest at some point before the club go to the US on their pre-season tour with their first game being on 19th July so they’ll probably leave 16th/17th; if you’re expecting all them to be involved then you may be disappointed. scotland also have 2 games in june so that’s Robertson probably out so he can get 5 weeks (short pre-season break) before the US tour.

so out of their starting XI you may get James Milner.

As like all PL clubs it will depend when the match?

Liverpool players and other PL players still have to play the AOCN, Coppa America, Nations cup so depending when their country gets knocked out its 3 weeks holiday from then on.

Pre season will start for a Liverpool early July and if the dates are right for this friendly around the 14th then you still have the likes of Ox, Lallana, Milner, Robinson, playing

 

As Ricky has said Saturday or Sunday the 13/14th July, why you ask, I have posted quite plainly said why, in my original post..

 

I don’t get excited about seeing premier league players in the flesh like I did when I was a kid seeing the likes of Beckham, Henry and Shearer turn up.

I couldn’t care less if Liverpool bring their first 11 or their youth team. The reason I will go to this game is because it’ll be for a very good cause involving one of our club legends.

You replied why they couldnt AOCN, Coppa America, Nations cup etc, I'd be happy with asap first teamers plus the likes of Ox, Lallana, Milner, Robinson but my reply was regarding fielding a squad of kids U21/U23 to the day takes something away from the occasion and the reason why they are the opposition for a past player of both clubs and obviously the raising of funds for Darby's charity.
Which Robinson are you on about who plays for Liverpool ?.

Liverpool's 1st game in the USA is on the 19th so depending on commitments they could play us then fly out on the Sunday or Monday.

 

You do know RLC ruptured his achilles playing in a charity game for chelsea recently, if its not billed as liverpool legends or something like that I'd imagine we'd see a stronger team than you'd expect.
