Transfer Rumours 2019/20

I doubt they want us to pay any percentage at all. I doubt they would consider sending him here, to be honest.

 

So NOT a rumour, just a suggestion ?
Whilst we're at it ............. Over 100 PL players contracts are up this Summer - should we be looking at them too ?
City need to be realistic, yet honest in their approach to the forthcoming season. Are the players affordable, good enough and will they 'fit in' ? That is the key, no matter where they come from.
I'm sure Bowyer will have sussed all this well before the rest of us.

Jim O’Brien released by Notts County along with Jon Stead. Jim O’Brian would be a good defensive midfielder for us and would like us to resign him.

 

If only he'd have taken the 6 month deal offered to him by us.

 

That ship has sailed. Time to move on for both parties.

Not a rumour, more if a thought. Salford now up, Man U connections, Joe Riley now on their radar? (This thinking is based on posts on a different thread that outlines his Man U career and how those at Salford will have contacts to give a full s.p. on him). Might happen and free up a few Bob.

Would like to hope they take him. Not sure if anyone has noticed but on the T&A report about the women's game tomorrow, someone has commented if he wondered if the rumours were true about Jack Byrne of Shamrock Rovers coming to city for 500k were true. I'm only passing this on as I have no info in regards to this or have any idea of where this has been posted.
I doubt a recent ireland international would be joining us and also money wise unless we sold McCarten and had some extra money as well we would be nowhere near 500k. I seem to remeber him though when Oldham came up here a few seasons ago, he was nippy and seemed decent. Oldham sent him back to Wigan for a training ground incident that left Ousamane Fane with a broken leg, to the dismay of their fans. He then went on to Kilmarnock, Shamrock and has now been called up the the ireland squad, started at Man City.

he's like the new Geoff Horsfield. in 2047 someone will still be mentioning his name in transfer rumour threads.

Don't think he's heard about the Irish sense of humour.

 

At 31, age is against him, as well as his fitness. To quantify, he only played a dozen games or so for County.
A good player, but not dependable enough for what we need.
