This is the transfer rumour thread. Unless you’re seriously suggesting we are linked with bringing back somebody who epitomises the attitude problem the team had last season, specifically the second half of it?

 

Just looked at his career so far and any fee would be too much, potential, then that's what we thought about Riley.

 

Not a hope in hell of him coming back here though. Even if we could agree terms Bowyer clearly didn't rate him.

Shame really. At the right price he's an excellent acquisition for the league above, never mind the khazi league.

Also played in the championship in the last session and half so surely can't have deteriorated that much in 18 months given that he's 32 and this is 2 levels below.

Would be interesting which League one team take him on, after he tormented (in a one man show) most of them for the first part of the season. Unless Barnsley fancy bringing him down south.

I can see Doyle wanting to come back and be nearer family, especially with the wife setting up her business here. I can also see GB liking his attitude and us needed hard workers with the right mentality and right attitude in the dressing room. Probably just the typical ex city player being released rumour, but can see it happening.
