He gets results, his record shows that clearly. We could have had him on a short deal, if he'd kept us up fans opinions would have soon changed, if we'd gone down adios.

But no way do l think he'd have lost 6 on the bounce on the way to going down rock bottom with a whimper

And as for results, he's only managed them where he had a big budget to spend on his own players. And even then, he spent a shit tonne at Mansfield and jumped ship when the going got tough. Spent tonnes at Posh this season and what happened? Sacked.

Now even if you ignored his failings with big budgets, he wouldn't have been able to sign any players as the window was closed. So what makes you think he would've done better than Bowyer?

 

Because my cat couldn't have done worse than Bowyer and Evans is a far more accomplished football manager than my cat.

 

We needed Evans to do a job for 11 games he would not have lost six on the spin. He would have found "a way" by taking the attention away from the team. He wins "on the margins" of the game. So yes he's irritating and winds others up but his record stands up. If he had won two of the games that would "not have been great" but it's one more than Bowyer has. It's too late but knowing that the decision to appoint Bowyer was driven by Rhodes says it all.

Rhodes made a few poor choices before he got lucky with Parky. He won't be that lucky again. Let's not forget that Parky worked a miracle at Bradford City and even he wrestled with it with players who are now marked down as "History Makers" at the club. We are a long long way away from that now and it's going to be a long long time before all the wrongs can be righted.

 

Let’s wait and see what happens before making statements like that.

 

Rhodes must get sacked if Bowyer fails!

Well seeing as Rhodes is only on a "temporary contract" and no financial stake in the club. I suppose he must if his man doesn't hit the grounding running in August. If I was Bowyer I'd spend no further time on team affairs this season. Abandon training to Drury & McAlone and start getting those agents and players off "speed dial" and start signing players now before anyone else. His number one striking target has to be Adam Rooney out of Salford ! That would set down a marker no club in League 2/NL should go anywhere close to Bradford City in the competition for the best players. We need 18-20 top professionals at that level and no more. Your time starts now Gary !

Certainly is and he'll be top scorer in League 2 ! Bowyer needs to tell Rhodes he wants him !

 

I very much doubt Bowyer wants him I would suggest he is actually looking for a strike partner to complement Doyle, but more to the point why would Salford with all their financial backing they have want to sell a proven goal scorer and if they did what sort transfer fee would he command, sorry @BSABantam74 IMO your putting all your eggs in one basket by using a large chunk of the transfer budget up on an unproven striker even at league two level.

 

Don't understand your logic. Are you thinking this is like one of those Scooby-Doo stories and someone is going to pull the mask from Rhodes face and reveal that it is none other than Rahic.

 

Richmond=Rahic Rhodes=Rupp, try that one. Richmond and Rahic both culpable in bringing this club to its knees. Rhodes and Rupp left to hold it all together, culpable after taking their eye off the ball.

 

In Richmond's defence he did it going for the club's glory (as well as his own) whereas Rahic seemed to be about nothing but his own glory.

Also, Richmond took us from L1 to the Premiership where as Rahic took us from a very successful side pushing for promotion to the Championship to a hopeless side relegated to L2 in just two seasons. That takes some doing.

Also, Richmond could put part of the blame the ITV deal falling through. What excuse did Rahic have.
