So it doesn’t matter if ones injured more than not and the other just isn’t good enough? Long as they bring experience and leadership to the bench and the treatment room. Got me there.

Did you see Henry play - I'd be surprised if he touched the ball 10 times in the time he was here

We are crying out for decent centre halves at the very least.

We are shocking in those positions, so having one of the best midfields in league 1 means nothing when you have Chicksen, O’Connor and NKP at the back.

If Hopkin can be slated for anything, surely it’s not getting a commanding centre half and decent striker.

I think we need to stick with him for the foreseeable future. Get his players in over the summer and I think we’ll see what he’s got, no excuses.

    Wrong question, wrong candidate.

The man responsible HAS ALREADY BEEN sacked.

The puppet he put in charge for a few weeks and who was supposedly on the transfer committee has ALSO been sacked.

The guy actually responsible for signings as head of recruitment, guess what?

    SACKED.

The shambles of a possible relegation season has already been accounted for with sweeping change.

Punishing Hopkin, who walked into this mess will not make anything better.

I agree. This is no different from the 'When do we start to question Hopkin' thread where similar issues are already being discussed. Hence the two will be merged.

the end of next season imo is the earliest you can realistically call him out,by then he'll of had enough time money etc to have implementing most things he wants. I say this because, like him or not, I highly doubt he'd fail enough to take us down to the conference and merits a full go for at least doing his best to salvage the shit show that this season has been, cos I didnt see anyone else queuing up to have a go at it.

But he won't be starting with a clean slate. The number of players already contracted for next season is frightening, many of them not even near the current match day squad. You can't force contracted players to leave.Someone has to want them, and the player has to agree to go.The only alternative is to pay them off,and where is that money going to come from.

What about merging all Fordys posts. He discusses only one issue no matter what the thread title.

Just a few points for those saying how poor we've been lately:

Wycombe have won 7 of their last 10 home games so a draw there was arguably good result.

Fleetwood have only conceded 14 goals away from home this season. While not brilliant going forward, they were exceptionally well organised and disciplined when defending - possibly the best we'll see this year. They were also very good at extensive time-wasting right from the start but without making it obvious and getting everyone booked. They were lucky to get all the points from us in a dire game which could easily have gone the other way.

Plymouth have been on a good run, losing only one of their last 9 - that one being away to ... Wycombe.

I'd argue that, but for a little luck, we actually equalled these three teams, who are 10th, 12th and 16th, which makes our recent performances very average/mid-table for League 1. The previous 7 games saw 10 points which is also very average. Our last 10 games arguably saw 2 unlucky losses - Fleetwood and Sunderland. (They probably made up for 2 lucky wins under Collins.) We've got 12 points from the last 10, with a -1 goal difference, but arguably 14 points with +1 might have been fair. It's all very mid-table stuff. Is it too late? Maybe. Can we do better than that? Maybe. We have yet to see Butterfield's quality shine and he and Clarke both arguably add to our limited goalscoring power so far this season.

Should we turn on the manager for recent mid-table form but for a little bad luck? No. It would be harsh. He is dealing with problems left by another's budget misspending, and now is not the time. I think fans should take a deep breath, keep calm, and keep behind Hopkin and the team.

It's called Banter mate! All good fun, and what makes this forum what it is. Would be awfully boring if everyone on here had the same views, or didn't challenge those who don't.
Imagine Man City forums and the people on there. All in agreement about how great Pep is, how great the team is and how great it is to be winning all the time. How nice. How boring. At least we don't have that problem! :D

Anyway, it’s match day. This is an important day for picking points up, so time to get behind the manager and the squad. Not sure whether this matters or not but I have a good feeling about today. Like it or not this is our team, and we are City fans, we get behind the team on match days.

    Massive match today.

This thread is going to explode if we don't get 3 points.

This has to be the day Hopkin and players deliver. If we can't beat Fleetwood, Plymouth or Walsall then we deserve to go down and Hopkin has to be sacked no matter what come the end of the season.

You just couldn’t help yourself!! I don’t think we deserve to go down. We had a control freak who knew best cripple us, several poor ref decisions whereby we would be at least 4 points better off, a squad full of serious injuries.

Why can’t you just deal with today andvlet tomorrow to take care of itself. You must be very bored when we are doing well as you have nothing to say. Where were you in December?
