Wycombe Away 2nd February 2019

0c all day today, might reach 1c now and again, but then no higher than 0c between 7pm tonight and 10am tomorrow morning.

Along with snow up until mid-afternoon today, it looks bleak.

I admire your optimism though.

 

I'm off to London for the weekend. Was looking forward to this game. Bloody annoying if it's off but it's not looking good.

 

My brother in law is a teacher in high Wycombe and his school is closed today, he says it looks unlikely to be on at the moment but if it rains it might clear it up.

 

I imagine they'll announce the postponement by this afternoon to spare those travelling early.

 

Our guys training now then setting off. No concerns as pitch has under soil heating hence no covers on earlier photo. Only concern will be outside and mild temps plus clearing any snow in the morning shoul see all ok

I don't think he will change it from Tuesdays game.
I thought we played well and didn't deserve 3 against so I expect new lads on the bench

 

Fortunately going with a friend to the game tomorrow’s who’s on the Wycombe board. He confident in the game going ahead and confirmed they have under soil heating. That said, as other have mentioned just depends on how much snow there is today and over night.

 

I’m in Wycombe - anything falling is really light and not making a difference.

 

Wycombe have asked for volunteers to come down between 1pm-5pm.

People need to take a shovel

 

A404 Marlow Hill is the main road into town from Junc 4 of M40 - if that’s clear then there’ll be no issues on any of the main roads.
Other 2 cameras on A40 are really close to each other and perhaps 1 mike from the ground. That road normally clears easily due to volume of traffic.
Side roads because of hills, and, pavements will be a potential issue. I’ll have a drive out soon and see what roads are like near the ground.

 

I remember a few seasons ago when the club put free travel on for the Wycombe game, we got over halfway there and had to turn around due it being called off.

 

that was a right ball ache. got up at the crack of dawn the day after mad friday, went for the coach, got all the way down to leicester forest then had to turn round.
