The problem we all have is that for so long now there are more questions than answers as to what is going on down at VP. Our concerns are many and cross all borders through management, structure, access to funding, quality of decision making at all levels and a need we have of trusting in the Club leadership. Hard to find inspiration on or off the field right now, we hope for better in January, but it is frustrating that we have to witness total under performance. What we need is faith and a leader to inspire.I personally feel like we are sailing a choppy sea of knee jerk reactions in an inglorious attempt to right the ship. Perhaps clearing the deck is an option, but surely the fans need to see far more positivity and clarity under the circumstances and are certainly deserving of a statement of intent. Can't stand this drifting feeling.

to be quite honest - I don't give a toss who knows what or why it was a late call to cancel, or who's repaying the money - aslong as Rahic leaves the club.

without even going ahead the good people who contributed from Bantam Talk and SOC1903 have made a real difference in helping our club, and for that I think we can be very proud.


not @Park bantam though. he's done nothing to help. we've achieved this inspite of folk like him. but thems the breaks.

I know who @City-since-67 is, and he told me three things were true or going to happen.

One is already true, one is almost certainly true and will be confirmed in the coming weeks/months, and the other I probably won't ever know for sure.

But if you ask me, and I've dealt with this poster, he not only told me the truth, but had genuine information, acted in the best interests of the club, and didn't exaggerate once.

Also, I know that the funds for the flyover will be back in our hands very soon, and I'll confirm as soon as they are.

If this poster isn't owed an apology, he is at least owed some respect for having the club at heart and for knowing what he was talking about.

What I and I guess a lot of people find so very frustrating, is the lack of openness. It seems like the only way to get information, is to put pressure on the club.
If you want to do things ‘behind the scenes’ then do just that. Keep everything ultra ‘confidential’ by making no reference whatsoever to it in a public arena like Bantam Talk.
More than happy for none sensitive banter, but I get a little fed up with the conjuring type of posts which are going on. That is not just aimed at you but everyone who wants to do this ‘smoke and mirrors’ thing.

You are missing the point here. look back at the flyover cancelled thread and you will realise that the only reason I came on and posted was because Jon was getting some stick for cancelling the flyover and I felt it was only fair that I came on and explained what had happened and why Jon had a decision to make and why he made it. I would have preferred to have kept my part in it "ultra confidential" as you suggest but that standpoint would not have been fair to Jon.

I have heard a snippet of some Germans wanting lunch ?? So what did I do, hunt them down and say "Hi guys can I join you ?". To what purpose did I do that ? I took it upon myself to get the flyover cancelled ? I just phoned the club and said " hey I think I can get the flyover cancelled, are you in ? " You really need to think about the absurdity of what you are posting. As far as Smoke and daggers posts ( I'm sure you mean smoke and mirrors but never mind ) Jon Butterfield was getting some grief about cancelling the flyover so to defend his actions I decided to post the series of events that lead to that decision. No smoke and mirrors just a timeline of what happened. Not really sure what more you want but I'm sure there will be some retort from you.

Yes they are 2 good points @Bigrod, we can only assume the phone call being the 11th hour was because things maybe coming to a head with the new money at the last minute.
We don't know who the hierarchy was who asked for the postponement to be made, I wouldnt have expected Stefan to make it but I would have thought it would not be beyond Julian.
I wonder why they did not go to maybe Shipley Bantams and contacted the likes of Steve Gorringe who IMO has just as much credability and I believe Steve also posts on here.

If you consider how much Rahic has stripped the club in terms of employees, we’re going to need significant investment just to get the non playing side of things, back up and running, never mind the playing staff. This is going to be one hell of a rebuild to get back to where we were 3 years ago.

 

Other than a couple of tweets from Mr Sparks, I've seen very little of him in the media
