First sentence, I was assuming they have had weeks to approach the flyover group. You then go on to inform me there wasn’t time, as weeks ago they weren’t bothered but now they are. I think that is being snappy.

Think is though it wasn't @JonButterfield decision to make. People put money in:

If @JonButterfield felt he couldn't communicate with the people that put the money in then it should of gone ahead.

Now if you or @JonButterfield are not going to tell us how a fly over would damage the club then I hope you're there for @JonButterfield if these facts are not true.

It should of gone ahead @JonButterfield never let people bully you in to changing your mind.

 

Yesterday was a good day full of positive energy. A big crowd providing a good atmosphere. The interview with Darbs. And the players responded with a good and committed display. Bearing in mind the most important aim at the moment is getting out of the hole we are in can anyone tell me how a flyover at this match would have helped in this aim.

The point is it wasn't @JonButterfield decision to make and as it stands today Edin still owns 20% of Bradford City Football Club.

 

I will answer that for Jon because I am sure he getting sick of having to defend his decision by now. You will hopefully appreciate that some things just cant always be put in the public domain. We were approached by the club to see if we knew who was organising the flyover. Our response was that we were aware who it was as far as he was a member of this forum. We were given certain information and asked to convey this to Jon to see if it was possible to cancel / postpone the flyover. I got in touch with Jon through this forum and asked if we could speak by telephone. We had a very candid conversation during which I told him the facts as had been told to me and why the club wanted the flyover cancelled. Jon agreed that he would consider it if certain things I promised were seen to be true. Unfortunately time got the better of us and by Friday teatime it was too late to cancel the flyover without the contributors losing their money. Jon, quite rightly, absolutely refused to do this.This was conveyed to the club. We were then contacted on Saturday and informed that the money would be refunded to the fund ( by a private individual by the way who believed the club would be harmed). I again contacted Jon and made the offer to him. It was impossible at that time to get in touch with 64 contributers so Jon made the decision that nothing would be lost once a promise of a full refund of the money was made. People saying this was a bad decision because ER is still at the club are deluded I am afraid. Nothing can happen overnight in that respect but this decision by Jon may just have helped it in the longer run. As I have said to another poster you have to bear in mind that 3 weeks ago they weren't bothered about the flyover now they are. That should suggest to you all that there are changes afoot and we all need to show a little patience. Certain people have only been back at the club a matter of weeks.

 

You didn’t then and yet you are among the elite as far as criticism goes. Why didn’t you put your money from your many businesses where your mouth is.

 

What you really mean is, you don't fancy going into detail.

If there isn't an announcement, over the next few weeks about Edin, then you will look very silly.

 

A lot of words to say nothing, if changes are already afoot why would the previously arranged flyover suddenly harm the club?

You said it would damage the club but not willing to say how.

Only thing you've done is made @JonButterfield look silly.

What you did to put him in this situation is embarrassing. You should be ashamed of yourself.

 

Aside from the information Jon seems to have its quite simple Park. Edin Rahic is the reason we’re in the hole, the flyover or theat of it makes more of a difference than you clapping along like a seal.

Decision made. Let’s move on. If we hear the news we all want great. If nothing positive comes out in the next week or so then what stirred supporters in backing the fly-by will start again in some form or another. It’s not over till he loses control.

Shame @JonButterfield didnt consult people before making that stupid decision because I would of told you to stick your non proven facts where the sun doesn't shine.

I think the fans (especially the 64 contributors of the flyover) have a right to know what damage (financial or otherwise) this would've done to the club. Sick and tired of this cloak and dagger bollocks now.
