Take the money whilst it’s there. No one else will sell as many this season

    I couldn't agree more, H.
Providing our lads put in a shift of hard graft, the supporting numbers should make for a decent atmosphere.

Whilst I agree with that the timing of the decision is absolutely ridiculous.

I've only just found out so I'm presuming I have to swap my seat somehow yet I'm working until Saturday dinnertime so will probably have to queue for an hour just to get my ticket so I can queue again at the turnstile.

Why couldn't the club just make an early announcement? We all know Sunderland could sell the whole midland road if we gave it them.

Always thought we got all the money from away fans, apparently not according to Accy Stanley chairman who's doing his nut on Twitter about new rulings from EFL. Also had a discussion with Katie Whyatt from width of a post on Twitter, she also said that the home team only get a small percentage of away fans tickets sold. Anyone know what the rules are now as I just thought the home team kept all gate receipts
    In league games.

There's no change, away clubs get 5% of advance sales to cover their costs with the rest being kept by the home club. Andy Holt later clarified his original Tweet (which said that the EFL had decided to allocate the revenue from away ticket sales to the away club) to say that he was referring to home clubs losing ticket sales to away fans opting to watch the game on iFollow which means that the away clubs get a financial reward but the home club loses out.

I'd be surprised if it's only a bare minimum, I always thought the away side only got 5% with the rest to the home side? If the home side does only get a small cut then we, and everyone else should only allocate away teams the minimum required as there's no financial benefit, in fact it would probably cost the home team more due to extra policing and stewarding costs a big following would bring.

Injury list continues to grow, Jim O'Brien out for four to six weeks with a hamstring tear.

Jones targeting the Checkatrade for a run out next week but Reeves had another set back...

I didn't say it was but the planning and timing is amateur at best.

We knew the fixtures in July and, also in July, we knew that Sunderland would have been able to exceed their initial allocation. It wouldn't have taken take a great deal of planning to give people at least a week to get new tickets sorted.

Also, lets not forget this is for only 300 tickets so I'd guess about 7 or 8 grand in total. Is that really worth the hassle? If they'd have planned it and moved the whole Midland Road it would have certainly made sense. This way? I'm not so sure.

They filled the initial away allocation. That should have been the end of it. Shouldn't be messing our own fans about for the sake of selling 300 more. Not worth the hassle they are putting our own fans through.

Sitting in the Main Stand, then from what I can recall is that E Block of the Midland Road (Northern Commercials/East) Stand is not actually occupied by City fans. Correct me if I am wrong @NorthernMonkey@NorthernMonkey. What seems to be in place is two rows of netting used as a barrier over Block E Seats.
I had a look on the City ticketing website and Block E is never for sale, although it is usually in the ‘home’ section of the ground (along with Block A, G, J & K in the JCT).
If that is the case it would only be the need for a Safety Barrier area to be created. Some form of temporary posts with secure anchorage (perhaps a socket into the concrete) and Perspex sections inserted and fully between the posts would be a solution.
Not saying it should happen, but just raising it as a potential solution.

I've got 4 season tickets in E block and everyone around me, including my friends who I sit with all have ST's for those seats.

We've had them in that block for around 10 or more years I'd guess.

I'm happy to move as I always have been in the past. My issues are with the timing and the level of income the inconvenience is going to bring.

Sorry not trying to make you homeless. Absolutely agree with you about the timing. Has the club personally given you formal notice? It is a serious lack of forward planning not providing you with reasonable notice, and extremely insensitive! I can see a general message on the Club noticeboard https://www.bradfordcityfc.co.uk/news/2018/october/sunderland-tickets/ but not all supporters will read it, and it is now less than 48 hours before kick off. One could predict that this was going to be an issue. As has been said, why not give them the whole of the Midland Road and relocate everyone?
Are they going to move half the supporters out of Block D to put in place the two rows of netting? What is the segregation policy?

Good idea Rodders, i'd give them the whole stand. Tell the Midland roaders to take the week off. Lets face it they wouldn't miss much.
