Your starting eleven

The first four spot on but I need to see more of Chapman in a “proper”:game.

 

There’s no point in guessing starting elevens at this point. We haven’t had anywhere near enough game time in pre season to have any decent opinion on it.

 

Whatever the first 11 will be we will have a hell of a bench to pick 5 subs from at this level. I can see us scoring a lot of goals over the season in the final 20 minutes of games against tired defences.

That could be bang on. We might know a bit more on Tuesday night.

 

Competition is very healthy and I think some players will be more worried about finding a place in the match day 18 rather than the starting 11.

DF - Halliday, Ridehalgh, Foulds, Odusina, Songo'o, Crichlow (6)
MF - Smallwood, Gilliead, Sutton, Osadebe, Walker, Chapman (6)
FW - Oliver, Harratt, Angol, Young (4)

A typical match day 18 of the above (just a guess) would mean the following senior pros would miss out.

Richardson, Threlkeld, Cousin-Dawson, Hendrie, Staunton, Platt, East, Scales, Wood, Eisa, Cook

 

I think Platt will be in the 18

 

Thats a team and a half and as I suggested the other day, I assume this is playing Angol the left side of the “three”. The bench will be strong too. Gilliead ‘s most effective position imho

One could easily perm Scales, Sutton, East into the same position alongside Smallwood.

Blimey. Looking at the squad as it stand MH's man management skills are going to be severely tested keeping that lot happy. Looks like some who might expect to be L2 starters might not even make the matchday squad.

 

I think folk knew who Park meant. The correction comes across quite condescending. Poor form that.

We all have a little joke about folk getting players names wrong. 99% of it is in jest, an ongoing joke but for a MOD to log onto the thread and go to the trouble in correcting is rather passive aggressive.

 

I could have guessed it was you. It all pointed to you but I wasn't 100% sure...

Do you make allowances for the poor sods that may be dyslexic???

 

Would it be a good idea to have a sticky post with all the current players listed with their names spelled correctly? It would be a useful aid and a positive way to address the issue.

I'm not convinced...can play RB, RWB and CM so can fit into a few systems. A good one to have on the bench. Maybe Foulds or Ridehalgh depending on form/fitness.
