So with our squad seemingly complete with the enivitable few out goings, I’m just wondering what your starting elevens would be.

    I’d go with this: -

    lewis

    Halliday - odusina - crichlow - ridhalge

    Smallwood - gillead

    Chapman - walker - angol

    Oliver

    or in a 442

    lewis

    halliday - odusina - crichlow - ridhalge

    Chapman - Smallwood - walker - eisa

    Harratt - Oliver

quite an embarrassment of riches and squad depth looking good.

Odusina and Crichlow are both left sided. I'm not sure MH will play them together.

Very good , and not a mile away from my choice. I said the other day the defence we saw on Sat won’t be the final one. Your back for is my choice too.

I almost agree completely with your first team. I think Platt will be in the back four with Odusina or Critchlow on the left.

As this but the other guy whose surname starts with an O instead of Gilliead. Can't remember his name other than Paddy.

Looking at the 433, I'd still say we're a little weak in DM and LB. Gillead can slot in there, but not his position (what is?) and Ridhalge is steady, but I'd prefer someone who can bomb up and down to provide crosses.
Not knocking the team at all - it's a vast improvement, but for me, if we got two more players in those positions, I think we'll walk the league.

Can't see us getting another left back in having given Foulds a two year deal.
Maybe a CM & I still think we're waiting for Dion.

Yeah I understand I'm being a bit greedy :) I like boh Ridhalge and Foulds, but I think they lack that something extra. Dion looked great once fit, but I can't help but thinking that we've signed similar players to him, and therefore he's not coming back. I think it's a holding player we need instead of Gillead, although we do have Songo'o who can play that role. I'm expecting quick transition from the back to our attacking players - maybe in that sense we won't have fullbacks overlapping, and therefore all is ok.

There's too many players I've never seen play so with the high turnover It's pretty much impossible to try and select a first XI right now.

    Haha, I'm sure he won't.

Plenty of options though so come July 30th I'm almost certain he still won't fully know his strongest XI.

Don't think you'll be a million miles off.
    Maybe with Dion in there.

    Lewis
    Halliday - Platt - Crichlow - Ridehalgh
    Smallwood
    Gilliead - East
    Walker
    Oliver - Harriat

I can see us starting off in a diamond an then moving into a 4-2-3-1 when space opens up later into the game

    Halliday - Platt - Crichlow - Ridehalgh
    Smallwood - Gilliead
    Chapman - Walker - Harriat

It’s certainly difficult, I called it an embarrassment of riches even before our weekend activities. At this stage it feels we could almost field a totally different 11 in each half, home and away.

We saw enough of that last season although they were the same players each half it was like chalk & cheese Tranmere away being a perfect example.

I’m not suggesting we would or should, however it feels we have multiple back up options.

I think Foulds will be a surprising asset this season.
