I hear a lot about styles of football the appointment of Stuart was welcomed by the majority because he likes to play an attacking style. Taking Saturday for example he played three up front it was an attacking line up. He could have matched them up which would have probably lead to a dour match but possibly with a result.
There are very few matches at this level that can be classed as good football. Pragmatism is needed Parky knew this. Getting out of this league has to be the aim either with pretty football or not

The Cowley brothers did brilliant at Lincoln but there's always
that doubt about whether it was just a good fit for them there
or whether they had genuine talent and ability which would be
forthcoming at any club. But that is dependant on the new clubs
circumstances and a new appointment means they are not
doing too well so success is no easy thing with new manager.JonButterfield, Rogered Tart, Bronco and 1 other person like this. -

The Cowley Brothers...
Jesus wept...
How many times are we going to pretend we want to start over again?
Not only is the move unrealistic, it would mark a move BACK to long ball and the way our fans are, long ball + not winning every single match = calls for a change of manager and style.
Again.
We can't keep turning everything on it's head as soon as it looks like we're not going to get instant success.
If Stuart was going to go this season, or more likely at the end of the season, we need to be a bit more self-aware than recommending stupid ideas like this.Bronco, NorthernMonkey and Morley Bantam like this. -

Change the manager as much as you like. If he isn’t given the tools to work with by a CEO & owner then it will continue to be a revolving door at City. Cut the rot out at the top now. Tell us who this new CEO is and let him get on with the job.

I haven't read much of this thread - there's very little point. The thread's existence is a very good example of the flawed thinking of the sack 'em brigade. 'Your preferred manager'? as if it were as simple as that. When have we ever got our preferred manager? Hand on heart can anyone really say Grayson, Bowyer or even Parky for that matter was their preferred manager? In the real world the next manager will be available, within budget and able to muster enough positivity to paper over past failings. If that's preferable to what we've got now then fair enough - go for it. If you think it means the Cowley Brothers or Michael Flynn are about to rock up, think again.

For the record I want Charlie as the next manager. He brings a lot of the same qualities discussed above. -

I don't want to get to 3 weeks before the end of the season and the usual McCall apologists (where is @Ricc nowadays?) to come back with the line that he's avoided relegation and needs another shot so we given him another season.
If he stays on and we tread water there needs to be some sort of understanding that this is it. No more. Of course if he turns it around and does well than thats a different story.Faithful Bantam and Fordy117 like this.
