Was screaming for Young to step up but when Cook did I lost all confidence of him scoring.

I had their commentators on for the game today and yes home commentary is generally biased granted, but I have no problem with this normally and sometimes it's interesting to take in an outside view of us, but today I have to say was an absolute embarrassment on their part, any little contact from us was deemed as a rugby challenge and every player of ours down injured was apparently faking it, even Richards injury when he was subbed off as a result of his injury there was no back tracked correction on their fake injury call, there was way too many instances of crazy examples of this to mention but it's fair to say it was the worst commentary in every aspect I've ever heard. One of the sweetest tasting 1-0 victories I've tasted in a long while and these morons added extra taste to the victory, wasn't having a drink this weekend initially but I'm now relaxing with a couple glasses of white raising a glass to the lads for digging in and grinding out a result today after the poor run of form we've been on, the club/team has took a lot of stick lately and deservedly so in most aspects but credit where it's due today and well done to all concerned.

 

As a spectacle you didn't miss anything, it was a typical average game of league 2 football. Didn't play much different to what we did against the likes of Wimbledon last week, solid at the back, stodgy in the middle and little upfront. What we did do, or Andy Cook did, was take one of the two opportunities we had. As i suspected from previous encounters, Wrexhams style kinda suits us, a lot of long ball which the three centre backs hes gone with are good at dealing with.

 

In the post match video I posted Alexander said Cook was annoyed to have missed the penalty he tried to convey to him to keep his concentration and fair do's to Cook that was one class finish.

 

Pointon should have played after two great crosses last week that could have ended up being recorded as goal assists on a better day.

He's responsible in that he's the one that employs Sparks as CEO, Sparks is responsible because he's the one that employed Gent. All 3 need to go imo.

 

But Sparks is doing what he has been asked to do. That is to make sure Rupp doesn't have to add to the budget and keep us up.
What Sparks/Gent didn't 'budget' for this season was Hughes ripping up the playbook and wanting to start again with another way of playing. Gent alluded that it came late in the window hence we ended up with an unbalanced squad. The club doesn't have a modus operandi, that comes from your owner. Without it your just fighting fires. A win against an out of form Wrexham only.papers over the cracks.

 

Because we've been told we have a top 5/6/7 budget so yes when were lounging 18th in the league questions need asking, if we had the 18th best player budget then we couldn't complain.

Well said. He bounced onto our site full of patronising tips on how to beat them before the match. Now he is back full of angst and self entitlement on how we didn’t deserve to beat them despite the stats on shots on target being in our favour. Our defence was really good and our goalkeeper had less to do.
