Not really, it goes against some of the things mentioned by people on here and other forums.. however there is nothing but hearsay to back it up.. whether it's true or not..

However We currently have a year left with JCT600 so starting to look now gives us plenty of time

Even with reduced ticket ticket sales we will have bigger crowds than most league one teams and sponsorship should reflect that.
All this though is speculation which along with the renaming of the suites seems to come from people with a bit of a vendetta against the owners. Let’s see what happens in reality then we can comment

 

Didnt baldwin once buy the all sponsorship boards off the club for a fixed amount then sell them on himself at a profit.

 

So is this comment "However We currently have a year left with JCT600 so starting to look now gives us plenty of time" , what your backing this comment up with "I'd say this time we're not in such a desperate position we should try getting the best deal we can"

I would think once any sponsors contract has only 12 months to run the club are out there trying to bring new companies on board, I would find it unusual if the last regime left it until the deals ran out before going back to the likes of JCT & Mitton's to renegotiate ?.

No they didn't but maybe they were caught out a little bit by Map not being able to carry the sponsorship on

 

I bet our present sponsors are creaming themselves with that comment mate, our season ticket sales are down but because we get bigger crowds that most other league one team that good with sponsors.
I've not heard the renaming of the club suites, as yet but who knows anything is possible with Mr Rahic at the helm .

 

All sponsorship is advertising the bigger audience the more it’s worth.

Why is it harsh?? You are a car salesman and only sell one all year? I would say shit salesman wouldn't you?

 

But our attendances will be down this coming season, even though they will be large in comparison with the likes of other league one clubs.

 

I believe that sponsorship decisions aren't always financially driven as far as the sponsors themselves are concerned. Sometimes it can be more of an ego thing, and I don't mean that in a bad way. If the owners of a successful business are also fans, and the business can afford it, seeing your name on your club's shirt is return enough. I haven't actually looked but I would imagine most div 1 and 2 teams have local sponsors rather than national companies expecting a significant return on their outlay. Bearing this in mind it might not as easy as some folk imagine to improve on what we have.

 

The same car salesman has a car in the showroom, looks lovely but doesnt go any where cos the engines knackered. Yeah but it looks nice so ill have it...
