The latest WOAP article is quite worrying. I mean we all knew about the 700k loss but threatening staff with their jobs because of season ticket sales? Come on, at this rate we won't even have a budget to keep us up next year.

It's beginning to sound like we're skint and are cost cutting everywhere. Why?

I find this odd! Why would non-playing staff lose their jobs, they can’t be on that much it would make any significant difference.

I guess its sales staff. Imagine having to try and sell the equivalent of an out of date Kirby vacuum cleaner to a disillusioned public. And then get the old 'your job is at stake'. Lol.

If its true and i say if but what I heard back in Feb from several different sources and I know one or two on here have heard the exact same thing that we are using some of next ST money to see us through this season the WOAP article doesn't surprise me one bit. My personal thought and I hope I am wrong is that the board are hoping wyke or someone with a decent value (cant think of anyone else tbh) goes in the summer for a decent amount to offset the shortfall.

Don’t the sales staff work for the franchise. With the shop coming in house maybe some of those jobs are under threat

That is the shop staff rather than sales. The sales department are part of the commercial team and drive sales of tickets, sponsorship, banqueting etc

Wyke at the very best would realize 500k that's not going to get us very far
My guess that half of this would be used to pay for the pitch
Never mind we can all look forward to watching the Academy play Sunderland next season

I would only get rid of those staff if they are not producing. They are the ones who are hopefully making money for the club

I think it might be telesales staff in the offices, the ones on the corporate side Bradford City. To be fair its a very cut throat business is the corporate side and sales will be hard to come by when the club has so many things going on behind the scenes. Always easier drumming up business when the product value is high.

And that is why a good sales person will make relationships with people not just chasing the easy sales. Otherwise when bad times hit you are in worst trouble.

It is keeping in touch with people after sales and not just moving on to the next sale. From reading some people’s experience on here of buying banqueting etc the after sales isn’t great

I can see where this is heading and if true is very worrying. Things seem to be coming clearer and its not what i wanted to see.

Will we get a bit of a fee for Milambo? Hopefully with a decent sell on for the future.

Too true but who's fault is it that the product value is so low you can't sell out of date Apples in a supermarket what's the difference here. I bet the Manchester clubs have no problem selling corporate functions we wouldn't either with a decent product I presume they will replace the telesales staff but first give them something tangible to sell The name Bradford City is now associated with massive problems and with rumoured long term sponsors about to jump ship It's an impossible job
Lawn and Rhodes had there doubters but never as much unrest as there is now

Like I say I hope I am totally wrong but when others have said the same things it is very worrying.

Thereby lies the problem in my view (one of many)
Why not keep him and make him part of the future of BRADFORD CITY instead of giving him away
We will never have a First team to watch with this blueprint and the slide will be brutal and rapid
Unless we get investment and a total rethink of strategies the only way has to be down

We urgently need to get these owners out of our club. Urgently!

I thought the rumour was that the longing term sponsors had left not were thinking about it.

Suppose we shall see when the new shirts come out

In football it does tend to be the no playing staff that lose their clubs when a club is struggling.

Let's just get these owners out. They can't afford to run our club or unwilling to invest in it. wake up people. We will go into admin again under these jokers.!

It may be just a ploy to get rid of a bit of dead wood. Quality not quantity as the saying goes.

Didn't they recently hire a new marketing manager?
