I can't understand those type of so called fans stop until the end of the game to shout abuse at players, even accepting most have been poor most of the season.

I very much doubt that Tony, Bowyer has repeatedly said his teams have pace and power up front and wide.

 

Discussed this with my lad on the way home. His view was he didn't understand the booing, the players were already mentally gone. He has this idea you don't boo your own team. I kind of agree with him to an extent. I think the booing became vitriolic when people saw fans applauding the players as they walked round, the fans booing seemed to react to this. I think the applauding was worse than the booing. I did neither but did shake my head in disbelief at the fans applauding what i think is the worst side i've seen in my football years at VP. Just how bad would things have to get before these people stop their scenes of automatic adulation? One of the most bizarre and pathetic things i've seen at a football match.

 

Haha, watching Hanson yesterday was the reason i remember i wasn't bothered at all when he left. As ineffective as Doyle for 90 minutes.

 

That was the reason I didnt stop back, I certainly wasnt going to applaud the squad and booing is not for me although at at Blackpool last season I did join in the "youre not fit to wear the shirt" but it didnt make me feel better just frustrated me more.
I couldn't understand the Wimbledon fans were giving Wilson so much stick then I saw the lad had played 8 games for them back in 2015, he must gave been bad to still have flash backs provoking that reaction.

I think you'll find there was some booing of players but there was also some people getting pretty upset about the Wimbledon fans letting a flare off. Whilst I can understand our fans being pretty upset about this, I thought some of the stick the police and stewards were getting was a bit excessive. Police don't usually intervene immediately in such things as it can raise the tension. They tend to play it softly and review video afterwards. Wrestling with stewards trying to do their job and encroaching onto the pitch is asking to be reported again at a time the FA is rightly getting concerned about a rising number of incidents nationwide. It was the last match of the season and there were a mixture of things happening so it was a bit confusing. I hope nobody ends up in trouble for it all except for the flare. That idiot deserves prosecuting. The flare at MK Dons v Mansfield ended up with a large flame on it as it burned out after being thrown to the floor. Anyone setting off flares where there other people around wants a night in the cells and a fine worth thinking about.

 

At least the Wombles fans stayed at their end of the pitch. There were more of them than us at the end.

@Aleman It was Charlie that was being attended to by the medics to the left of the goal.
Listening to GB on the radio on the way home he seems genuinely excited to start rebuilding the team from next Tuesday. The remembrance yesterday seemed to have had an effect on GB seemingly making him even more determined to bring a team that we can be proud to support.

 

Bowyer will get it right and talks so well about the club. He cares. He met the girl who does the ribbons before the game too yesterday and wrote on her twitter after the game. Might not sound much but I bet it made her day. And that’s what people keep saying we want. A connection with the players and management.

Let’s get this shite shifted on and get bowyers players in quickly and start strongly. The floating fans will come back.

 

Thanks, Keefly. First aiders were calling for extra help but the others initially missed the arm signals and then responded slowly in the chaotic scenes at the end. I know rules are annoying and restrict our fun sometimes but some are there for good reason. I hope Charlie is okay.

 

It wasn't so much that he was poor for them, it was the argument he got into with some of their fans on Twitter afterwards. He was very abusive to some of them (called them the c word).You could argue he was provoked, but really best not to respond.

 

Now I understand the Wimbledon fans reaction.

Fans wanting a free pop.....again, life is not like that, good for him for not having it.

Booing? Never done it and never would, an entirely negative action that will only produce a negative result. Pointless.

However, those applauding yesterday are clearly bonkers.
