We didn't go 352. It was 442 with Wood at left back and NKP at centre back.

    O'Connor centre midfield.

I thought we went Wood, McGowan, NKP at the back with Mellor and Scannell as wingbacks?

I've just been talking to a friend living in Surrey who took his family for their first City match tonight and we've got some new fans! They loved the intensity and he said every player from front to back worked their socks off. He had read a lot of negatives about Kai and didn't know what to expect when he found he was starting the game but he says he played well and caused their defenders a good few problems. This view seems to have been reflected by other comments on Twitter and by Hopkin, maybe we can make a player out of him after all. Payne was the best player on the pitch but everyone put a big shift in. Onwards and upwards.

No it was a flat 4 with O'Connor alongside LOB in midfield

That was one of the most comical things I’ve seen a footballer do. Good job their lad missed.

Kai still looks like he’s won a competition. He’s not bad like other players, he’s bad to the point that I’m not sure he’s not related to George Weah

Three points is three points and thankfully we knicked a penalty right before half time. They chased early and let us in 2 on 3 for most of the second half so we could stretch the game. Payne was our best player plus some heroics in our own 6 yard box. But, we are such a weird team to watch. Without the ball it’s so passive, we look like we’re playing a testimonial, give up so much space, lose every second ball. What Kai Brunker is doing on the pitch is anyone’s guess. Ball deserves a mention for wasting two guilt edge chances when we were two on one. We would lose that game more often than not, we’re still garbage, there’s still lots of work to do but at least we’re trying to play in the right part of the pitch. Let’s get to Jan and hope Hopkin can buy some players that can get stuck in.

    We're you?

I wasn't but watched it on I follow which I paid for.

He didn't even touch the ball until 20 minutes in, never won a header first half at all.

Did better in 2nd half and got a few touches, few headers and few tackles. But Ball and Payne looked a class apart. Not a L1 striker at all.

Out of interest, where was he playing when he came on? Was he in the centre providing another body in midfield or was he further up front playing just behind the strikers? If he was in midfield he could help solve a lot of our issues.

That's a lazy comment. That simply didn't happen last night.

The intensity and pressing were excellent. The best of the season by a mile. O'Connor and O'Brien won tackle after tackle in centre midfield.

100% agree. Every single player put a right shift in and never gave up. It was also positive to see the game management employed in the last few minutes to ensure we got the 3 points.

Knock a point off everyone except the keeper and two off Brunker and I’d say you were about right

Conlon got praise. I don’t really see how giving Kai rubbish actually helps. Hopkin must see something. It’s easy to jump on a bandwagon. Ok we don’t have to praise him but when we are down to the bare bones every player needs our support. When you sow new grass on the lawn and see green shoots of recovery if you constantly trample on it, it won’t grow and will die. Fully grown grass is resilient. Then you trample round on it in full gay abandon!!
